I don’t know why people keep bringing up Slaughterhouse. Two different 4 man groups with different styles. But since people do keep mentioning them, I’ll say this:
Fact #1) Slaughterhouse became a group BECAUSE of the HRSMN. They even said it.
Fact #2) Slaughterhouse has talent, but the projects that they have put out have been lackluster. Reason being, because of Eminem’s association and popularity, the SH projects tend to lean a little mainstream instead of just spitting raw. A HRSMN album wouldn’t have to deal with the same restrictions, because none of the members are even remotely sniffing mainstream.
Also, in my personal opinion, the HRSMN just have more talent. All of the members of the HRSMN have at least one classic album under their belts (“Heavy Mental” by Killah Priest, “Soul On Ice” by Ras Kass, “Rip the Jacker” by Canibus, and “Dogg Food/Streets Is A Mutha” by Kurupt).
