This joint is just “okay,”. Really, A.G should revisit ‘Soul Clap’ EP, ‘Runaway Slave’ & the ‘Goodfellas’ joint to understand the “A.G.” his true fans know and love. He’s fiyah on the uptempo joints, but this down-tempo flow he’s been releasing is NOT it!
More Boogie Down hip-hop. Solid lyrics and production, considering how dumb down the music has become this is clearly a cut above the BS that we have been oversaturated with in the mainstream.
So you know how sometimes you hear a well respected hip hop artist from back in the day try to change up their flow to kinda hang in there with the new style, but end up sounding like crap? Well this aint one of those. I’m listening to this joint and I’m saying, “Whoa AG really came off” and thank God for that. I like when a cat from the golden era of Hip Hop stays on top of his game by coming out on a hot joint and straight rips it to shreds. He almost sounds as if he made it a point to sound like he did, which shows he’s been working on his craft. Not many mc’s can do that, see rather than perfect their craft they wanna stay in the club every night reminiscing about how hot they used to be. So while some AG fans are still looking for his 90’s flow on this joint, I can really appreciate him for stepping out like this and executing it like a true G. Cant front on AG, BX ALL DAY!!! Get it right suckas…..
this isnt AG’s east coast sound i know and love
This is better than anything I heard from AG in last five years. 4/5.
