In 1997 a Liberty City Miami native burst on to the music scene. Trick Daddy came at the masses on his debut album Based on a True Story in the grimiest form of a kat from the grittiest ghetto. Then Trick came at us with the WWW.Thug.Com album which spawned the hit anthem “Nann.” The world was smacked upside the head and exposed to the Polo wearin’ thug and his sassy ass sidekick Trina.

Trick then returned after many thought of him as a one hit wonder. He came at us with Book Of Thugs: Chapter AK Verse 47 and gave us jointz like “Shut Up and “America“. Then Trick droped the Platinum selling Thugs are Us.

In 2002 Trick is set to release Thug Holiday. The lead single “In Da Wind” pairs Trick with two memebrs of ATL’s Dungeon Family. Cee-Lo (Goodie Mob) and Big Boi (Outkast) along with Trick take us for a soulful thugged out ride in da wind. The album showcases Trick’s natural progression as an artist. Trick has collaborated with many of the industry’s finest artists on his previous projects and on Thug Holiday he continues to do the same. Trick has always looked at various forms of subject matter from a thugs point of view. Even with the connotations of thuggin’, sexin and druggin’ Trick puts all naysayer to rest by being consistent and focused in this rap game. On the title track “Thug Holiday” featuring Latocha Scott of Xscape, Trick spits about life, puts his guns away and prays for his peoples on Sundays to guide them through the wicked side of the thug life that many of them live. On “Gangsta” Trick goes toe to toe with the true Mayor of the South in the form of Scarface. “Rock N Roll Nigga” shows Trick talkin that thug shit and on “Rains It Pours” he throws some angry words at some thugs who didn’t rep for him when he was locked up so now he’s returning the favor.
