I was kicking with my crew the other day and we were thinking about how most artists that are successful, always want to put their FAM on. That’s cool but most kats don’t really have the skills to hold it down.
With the exception of Ice Cube’s “Lynch Mob” none have been truly successful in the eyes of true hip-hop heads eyes. Until now, the State Property C.D. which is the 2nd wave of the ROC’s Dynasty consists of the General, Beanie, the semi-melodic whaling-rap style Freeway, The Ying & Yang Twins Oschino & Sparks, and the first round draft picks (Young Guns) Chris & Neef. They have tightened the reigns and have set a new standard for crew albums.
The Jumpoff is the infectious “Roc The Mic” Feat. Beans & Freeway. The beat produced by Just Blaze is just ill with its’ thumping baseline and Freeway and Beans spitting flames. “Do You Want Me” is another joint that’s banging with its street grimy feel; featuring Freeway, Young Chris, Oschino, and the emotionally charged Sparks, who continues spitting verses that touch your soul.
Sparks is on the 2nd single off this album titled “Sing my Song” in which he harmonizes like a man in pain.

This album has many gems that it’s hard to miss, if you don’t pick up this joint then you should be hitchhiking on a Freeway.
