Yung Miami has confirmed that she and Diddy are no longer dating, but are still friends despite going their separate ways.

The City Girls rapper spoke about her relationship with the Bad Boy Records mogul in an interview with The Cut, saying that she doesn’t regret being so open about their “situation.”

“I felt like, it is what it is. Eventually, people was gonna find out because he is who he is, I am who I am. We was just like, if we’re going to put it out there, we’re going to be the ones that talk. I don’t like anyone talking for me,” she said of them being so public about their romance.

The interviewer then asked if they were still together, to which Miami replied: “No.”

“We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single. That’s not my man,” she continued. “We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were fucking with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.”

Diddy and Yung Miami first sparked dating rumors in June 2021 when they were seenholding hands at Quality Control CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas’ birthday party, but it wasn’t until last June that they made their romance official.

The power couple then admitted they were in an open relationship, with Diddy serving as Miami’s first guest on her REVOLT talk show Caresha Please.

“We are dating. We single, but we’re dating,” Miami clarified in an interview with Billboard just last month. “People don’t know what dating means. He’s single, I’m single, but we’re dating. That’s what I mean when I say we go together. When we’re together, we’re together. We’re having the time of our lives, but we’re still single.”

Elsewhere in her chat with The Cut, Yung Miami also reflected on her viral BMF scene, which was met with mass criticism despite the Florida rapper saying it was a very personal moment for her.

“It was hard for me because the BMF scene, it was so emotional — like my [character’s] husband got killed and, in real life, my baby father got killed,” Miami said. “I always say I never got a chance to go through the emotion of my baby father getting killed and feel he’s gone because I was always working, which was a good thing because it kept my mind off of it.

“It was good and bad. If not, I don’t know where it would have took me. You know how some people go into a deep depression? I thank God I was able to keep working because I’ve got kids. I felt it, of course, but I didn’t have a breakdown until after the fact. When I did break down, it was bad. It was horrible.”

She added that unfortunately, the BMF scene was the last time she felt embarrassed, but said she was ultimately able to laugh it off.

“When BMF came out. I wasn’t embarrassed, but I was like, Oh my God, everybody’s laughing at me!” she said. “It’s okay, I laughed too. I don’t take nothing personally. I don’t give a fuck, whatever. I find laughter in everything. Like bitch, I’m gonna laugh with y’all, we’re gonna laugh together.”
