Cobb County, GA

Young Thug’s alleged YSL co-founder YSL Mondo has been arrested on an array of charges following a search of his home.

According to WSB-TV, Mondo (born Fremondo Crenshaw) was arrested earlier this week after missing a court date in connection with a separate incident last month, in which he was accused of strangling a woman.

After his court date no-show, federal agents with the U.S. Marshals Task Force, GBI agents and Cobb County deputies searched his home and found drugs, cash and at least three guns.

Mondo is now facing several felonies, including three counts of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

It should be noted that although Mondo has alleged ties to YSL, he isn’t a part of the sweeping YSL RICO case which has kept Young Thug behind bars since May 2022.

A photo of the items police seized at Mondo’s home can be seen below:

YSL Mondo and Young Thug both appear to be held at the Cobb County Jail awaiting trial for their cases. Mondo reportedly faces even more charges in DeKalb County, but will have to face the music in Cobb County first.

Although Mondo isn’t involved in the YSL RICO case, he has spoken about it publicly numerous times. During an appearance on the Ugly Money Podcast earlier this year, he condemned Gunna for taking a plea deal to secure his release from jail.

“I mean, the only way to answer that, man… my man did what he did,” he said. “He did what he did, man. I ain’t put no cap on it, I ain’t sitting here putting no — hey man, he did what he did, man. I know this for sure, I ain’t going off what no internet talking about. I ain’t going off what I’m seeing all over cap.

“I’m talking personally, on everything I love, I’m talking I know what’s going. Boy, you ain’t supposed to do that, my brother. Even if I did be talking to nobody, everybody who got common sense, everybody who’s been in the streets know, you do not, boy, you don’t do no shit like that my brother.”

He added: “I always said, bruh, he was a good genuine n-gga … But certain shit makes you do certain shit … You can’t say, ‘Oh, they tricked me,’ or ‘Oh, I ain’t talked,’ or ‘I don’t know what’s going on.’ Come on, my brother. It’s certain shit you just don’t do. And hey boy, you crossed the line, my brother. You did that.”

As for Young Thug, he was denied bond for a fourth time last month and will remain in jail until the YSL RICO trial begins.

Considering the jury selection process has dragged on for over half a year with a jury yet to be found, and the trial itself expected to last between six and nine months, it’s likely the Business is Business rapper will remain behind bars until well into next year.
