Young Thug‘s sister has come to Gunna‘s defense and is asking for the public to ease up when referring to him as a snitch.
On Wednesday (December 14), Gunna reached a plea deal to secure his release from jail and some, like Freddie Gibbs, Wack100 and Boosie Badazz, believe the YSL rapper cooperated with authorities to get a favorable agreement.
“Can y’all please stop saying then people write it and this and that? It’s not making anybody better or nothing good,” Thug’s sister Dolly White said. “Nothing that’s going on is helping my brother. So can y’all please stop that. If y’all love Gunna, then y’all give him support. Why the fuck y’all over there y’all tripping. It be the internet for me.”
Thug’s sister went on to explain that she hasn’t posted Gunna on social media because they’ve legally been asked to not have any communications between the two parties.
“No, I haven’t posted him because I was just told that nobody really supposed to have communications with each other right now,” she said. “I don’t want to mess up his shit so why would I go and post him.”
Gunna pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge when he was back in court for a virtual hearing on Wednesday (December 14) which secured his release hours later.
The “Pushin P” rapper and his legal team entered an Alford plea where he plead guilty to one charge because it was in his best interest to do so as far as his freedom goes.
Gunna was sentenced to five years with one year served in prison. The four-year sentence left will reportedly be “suspended” and Gunna will serve the rest in the form of 500 hours of community service.
“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna told WSB-TV in a statement.
“My focus of YSL was entertainment — rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and ‘glorified’ urban life in the Black community.”
Gunna’s attorney, Steve Sadow, also released a statement explaining that his client didn’t cooperate with authorities. “Gunna did not snitch to get out of jail. He has said nothing and is not cooperating,” he wrote.
As for Young Thug, he was back in court for a hearing on Thursday (December 15) but is headed to trial in January. Thugger was also hit with additional charges earlier this week outside of his RICO case.
He received misdemeanor charges for street racing, reckless driving and speeding. Thug is alleged to have drove a vehicle at 120 mph on Interstate 85 in May.
Thug was arrested with Gunna and 26 others in May on racketeering charges related to Young Slime Life, which prosecutors allege is a criminal street gang that claims affiliation with the Bloods.
Snitch.
The funny thing is a lot of the people that our calling him a snitch are regular civilians, who snitch on people regularly from co workers to family members etc. I’ll ask you one question if someone assaulted you, robbed you or killed a friend or family member, would you call the police? If so, you need to stop judging others by a street code that you don’t even adhere to. You got people working at Walmart calling him a snitch. Unless you live by a street code stop calling people out for hood ethics you don’t even display.
Reporting a robbery, assault, etc to the police is not snitching. Participating in a robbery, assault, etc and giving up the ones you robbed and assaulted with to get yourself out of trouble is snitching. It seems like you have the definition mixed up.
Actually that does mean u a smitch. Anyone who calls police is considered. So kno ur facts clown before u open mouth
Shut your dumb ass up. The other poster misunderstood, but you’re willfully ignorant, “Keith”
If you’re sitting at a red light and someone rear-ends your car, don’t you call the police to file a report to your insurance? Is that snitching? …idiot.
The whole no snitching thing is so stupid and black people need to stop with that mentality. You’d rather go to jail and ruin your life when you could simply cooperate? How sure are you that the person you’re ruining your life for would do same for you
It is stupid, but so is being in a gang or associating with criminals. He has to live with that, but he was smart to get himself out of prison. Nobody wants to be getting bent over the sink in the cell for 20 years. That’s why you choose who you’re around wisely so you don’t end up in these situations. Now, he’s got to worry about somebody killing him instead of him just leaving this ignorant shit behind and making music before this happened. It’s why I preach to anyone who will listen that you have no friends. When you are concerned with having them, this is the type of shit that happens to you.
All I heard was yes mem, the act tough on records thou
All I heard was yes mem, they act tough on records thou
She still young and dumb asf! Everybody I knew from the street or growing up that caught a major case and got off with little time SNITCHED!!!
They trying everything to save his rap career, just move outta ATL and pursue something different. If he didn’t snitch yet which is debatable, he can still be called to testify. These kids ain’t stupid, you just don’t walk outta jail without giving something up.
It’s not even debatable. Even if we ignore everything else in the video. The lady said to him “You were pulled over in a car with Jeffery Williams and hydrocodone, meth, and a gun…” And she said “And your statement is that these items did not belong to you” And he said “yes ma’am.” That’s it. That’s the snitching. It’s not debatable. All the other snitching that common sense tell us he did don’t even matter. That’s the snitching right there on camera. If he says under oath it’s not his and they were the only two in the car, then he’s saying under oath that the drugs and gun was Young Thug’s. Period.
I’m not defending this loser, but that doesn’t necessarily mean thug is guilty. Because thug can just as easily, under oath, say they weren’t his.
I agree with you. Spot on.
I hope that car isn’t registered to either Gunna or Thug..
Holy Sheet I’m glad they wrote what she said up there because I couldn’t understand a damn word
It’s up to the state to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the indicted individuals are guilty. It’s a RICO case. Once he pled guilty, he indirectly implied they were all guilty.
