Young Thug appears to still be standing by Gunna, showing love to his YSL artist in a subtle and relatively unexpected way on social media.
Eagle-eye fans noticed on Thursday (April 27) that Thugger had updated his Instagram bio link, which now points to all streaming links to Gunna’s 2022 album, DS4Ever.

The effort was Gunna’s third studio album and arrived just months before him and Thug along with over a dozen of their fellow YSL members were put behind bars as part of a sweeping RICO indictment.
Thug is featured on the album as well as Future, 21 Savage, Drake, Kodak Black, Chlöe, Lil Baby, G Herbo, Nechie, Yung Bleu, Chris Brown and Roddy Ricch.

Gunna was released from jail in December after signing an Alford plea and in turn pleading guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge. He was sentenced to five years with one year served due to the time he spent behind bars after being arrested last May – leading many to believe he “snitched” on his longtime collaborator and label head.

Thug’s post seems to speak to the pair being on good terms, and Gunna himself has long since denied any allegations to the contrary.
“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” he said in a statement following his release from jail.

Gunna’s plea deal has been a talking point amongst rappers and fans alike, and following an Okayplayer article that interviewed legal experts to discuss Alford pleas, Gunna’s legal team commented on the story and reaffirmed their client’s innocence, claiming he “never” cooperated with authorities.
“Gunna has never been interviewed by or cooperated with law enforcement or prosecutors in the RICO case,” the statement read. “Nor have his attorneys proffered information on his behalf.”

They continued: “What was said at his Alford plea hearing was solely to resolve his own case. It cannot be used by the prosecution against Young Thug or any other defendant.”
Thug’s updated bio also arrives as he filed a fourth motion for bond in the RICO case, arguing that the ongoing trial is taking a toll on his health.
Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, filed the latest motion this week in an attempt to spring his client from Fulton County Jail, where he’s been “languishing” since May 2022.
In his motion, Steel maintained the Atlanta rapper’s innocence and argued that he has “previously put forth compelling evidence, without doubt, that conditions can be imposed which permit bond to be set.”
The lawyer told ABC News that Thug (real name Jeffery Williams) does not pose a risk to society and should be released from jail as he awaits trial.

Steel added that his client, who has been present in court since January when jury selection began, is “sleep-deprived” because he wakes up at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. and does not return to jail until late, a routine that is interfering with his ability to prepare for the trial.
According to Atlanta Daily World, 1,200 potential jurors have been summoned since January. About 300 more jurors will be called on Friday (April 28), followed by a seventh group in May.
