Yaya Mayweather has been sentenced to six years probation after she was found guilty of stabbing NBA YoungBoy’s baby mother in 2020.

The violent scuffle reportedly took place at YoungBoy’s home on April 4, 2020, with the then 19-year-old Mayweather stabbing Lapattra Lashai Jacobs after she discovered her inside the rapper’s residence.

Yaya, who is the daughter of the world-famous boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., reportedly claimed to be the Top rapper’s fiancée and charged Jacobs with two knives after the pair began fighting.

She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon later that month after Jacobs, who is the mother of one of YoungBoy’s children, reportedly suffered multiple lacerations on her arm.

On Thursday (December 15), Yaya received Deferred Adjudication of Guilt and was sentenced to six years of probation, according to KPRC-TV.

YoungBoy has yet to address any of the reports, but has remained firmly focus on his career. Earlier this month, the Baton Rouge native partnered with Amazon to launch his own radio show.

The talk show launched on Amazon’s live radio platform Amp last Friday (December 9) and found the rapper spinning some of his favorite songs, engaging with fans and chopping it up with Rich The Kid during the 90-minute broadcast.

YoungBoy didn’t pull any punches as a radio presenter as he pressed Rich about a photo of him posing with his rival Lil Durk from earlier this year.

On the music side, NBA YoungBoy has had a prolific run in 2022, dropping eight full-length projects. While that’s two short of his ambitious goal to release 10 mixtapes in one year, he recently promised fans there’s even more music to come in 2023.

“My album drop January — I don’t know the date. Just wait,” he said in a video that surfaced online earlier this month. “Your favorite rapper, that boy gon’ be able to talk about whatever the fuck he talking about because you know I’m that thang, bitch, so I’ma leave it at that.”
