XXXTENTACION‘s murderers — Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome — have been sentenced to life in prison without a chance for parole.

On Thursday (April 6), the three men convicted of murdering the rapper (real name Jahseh Onfroy) appeared in a Broward County, Florida courtroom, where Judge Michael Usan handed down life sentences, which are mandatory in the state, per NBC Miami.

Prosecutors had not sought the death penalty. The three men will have no chance for parole or early release for good behavior.

At sentencing, the late rapper’s manager, Solomon Sobande, read a statement on behalf of his family, and also gave a nod to XXXTENTACION’s son who was born after he died.

“This is a loss we will never truly recover from,” he said. “We will never get to see Jahseh live to his full potential, we will never get to watch him grow old, we will never get to watch him be a father.”

On June 18, 2018, the rapper was shot and killed outside a motorcycle shop in Florida. He was just 20 years old. The assailants got away with $50,000 in cash in a Louis Vuitton bag that XXX had just withdrawn.

In March, nearly five years after his death, the three men involved in XXXTENTACION’s murder trial were found guilty of first-degree murder.

The New York Times reported that following more than a week of deliberations, a Broward County grand jury found the three assailants guilty of murdering the rapper born Jahseh Onfroy. Prosecutors identified Boatwright and Newsome as the gunmen, while Williams was identified as the getaway driver and mastermind behind the robbery.

A fourth person in connection to the “SAD!” rapper’s murder, Robert Allen, plead guilty to second-degree murder charges in August 2022. He took the stand to testify against his cohorts during the trial in hopes of receiving a lighter sentence.

Following the murder convictions, Jenesis Sanchez, the mother of XXXTENTACION’s son posted her reaction to the news via Instagram.

She continued: “Jah was robbed of his life and Geky was robbed of his father. For this, I will never truly have complete peace but justice being served today helps the healing process.”

On the other hand, in a chilling turn of events, following the trio’s guilty verdict, Boatwright, was spotted smiling and conversing with his lawyer just moments after being convicted in court footage shared by Law & Crime Network. He then blew a kiss in the direction of the camera, but it’s unclear who it was aimed at.
