Two 1980s emcees, Will Smith and Rev Run, are among those featured guests at this week’s 8th annual Charlie Mack Party For Peace Weekend. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native who is now a superstar actor will accompany his son, Jaden Smith, at the July 20-July 22 affair. The charity event will feature “I WILL BE GREAT” formal dinner honoring outstanding Philadelphia youth, Charlie Mack’s Talented Teens Competition, Annual All White Affair, Annual Fashion Show, Comedy Show, Healthy Hoops and Asthma Clinic, and the weekend’s highlight of a visit to Philadelphia’s local youth detention center.
Among the celebrities and notable guests are rapper Lil Mama, comedian Affion Crockett, Q Parker of 112 and Tisha Campbell of the Martin show.
Charlie Mack (a/k/a Charles Alston), a Philadelphia entrepreneur and industry veteran co-produced the film ATL, among three decades of behind-the-scenes work in music and sports.
