America fell in love with Will Smith and The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air in the 1990s. The now-classic sitcom ran for six seasons and came to an end in May 1996.
But according to The Hollywood Reporter, Smith and his newly launched holding company Westbrook Inc. are working on a Fresh Prince spinoff series. Westbrook was established in July by Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Smith still earns significant royalties from the original NBC show, which is now licensed to air in 193 territories.
Throughout the show’s six-year run, Smith played a fictionalized version of himself — a street-savvy teen from West Philadelphia (“born and raised”) who gets in a fight and is shipped to Bel Air to live with his wealthy uncle and aunt in their mansion with their three spoiled children.
It’s unclear where the spinoff will pick up.
The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air was Smith’s first acting gig. He’s since gone on to become one of Hollywood’s elite and has learned plenty of lessons along the way. During Tuesday’s (October 8) episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Smith was asked what advice he’d give his younger self if he could go back in time.
“Hey man, don’t do Wild Wild West,” he replied. “I would say, ‘Dude, do Neo,’ because I got offered The Matrix.”
The Matrix, of course, was wildly successful for Keanu Reeves who ended up in the starring role.

Always gotta fck good thing huh?
He’s just setting up himself for disappointment Fresh Prince fans will never love it as much not every classic needs a spinoff, this is one of them..
He can piggy off the guys who did the updated Bel Air concept on YouTube. He invited them on one of his inspiration segments on his YT channel. They probably working on something
That concept was a reboot though. Not a spin off
The only spinoff thats ever lived up to the hype is Curb Your Enthusiasm. Larry David is King!
