Continuing the trend of celebrity versions of “The Weakest Link,” last week 8 rappers taped an episode. The show featured, Xzibit, DJ Quik, Nate Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, B-Real, Reverend Run and Young MC (what the hell has he done in the past 10 years?) all competed for charity.
DJ Quik talked to MTV about the show, but he wouldn’t say too much. He said it was incredibly funny, the best moment came when host Anne Robinson asked Nate Dogg why he kept his hands in his pockets and he replied “so I don’t steal anything.” Quik also said that no one took too kindly to the brains in the group. “I’m not going to say anything about who won, but that show just goes to prove it doesn’t matter if you’re a school kid or a famous rapper, nobody likes a know-it-all.”
Anne Robinson, who has been called the rudest person on television, always picks someone in the group to make fun of at every conceivable opportunity. Xzibit received that dubious distinction this time around. Get her back where it counts X, on wax. The episode will air on April 28th.
