Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine inked a deal with Shady Records in 2017. Now, it appears fans are finally going to get a Shady release from the Griselda Records crew.
On Wednesday (April 10), Westside announced the Griselda family would complete their first official project for Shady within 48 hours.
“Breaking NEWS!!!!!!” he wrote on Instagram. “This wat EVERYBODY been waiting on the first official GRISELDA x SHADY Project WSG x CONWAY x BENNY x DARINGER BEAT BUTCHA “WWCD” and it’ll be done in the next 48hrs and just know this shit is fucking NOBODY can fuck wit US when we come together this what the Culture Needs…. I’ll take over from here Folks.”
Westside has spoken about his Shady debut in the past and confirmed Conway’s Shady solo LP was 90 percent complete last summer. But, it appears the Griselda crew’s first major label effort will be a family affair.
The Griselda project announcement comes on the heels of Conway releasing the third installment of his Everybody Is F.O.O.D. series.

Them, Freddie Gibbs, and Pusha T are the only gangsta rappers I still like enough to check for their new music. I knew about WSG and Conway before the signing, and if anything I had mixed feelings about it after seeing final result of the album Slaughterhouse put out on Shady.
The only problem I have with their music is that there are no drums… wish them all the best but I just can’t fuck with it

I hope Eminem let them do their thing. I secretly wish for his verse on a grimy Daringer beat, but more importantly, hope he doesn’t try to fix what isn’t broken. A Griselda project with their old friends (Roc Marciano and all) would be just perfect.

So are they gonna do solo albums on Shady/Interscope after that? Conway over some Just Blaze, maybe even Dre beats would be dope af. He works good with Daringer obviously, but for that budget they might as well try something bigger.
