I should be the lucky winner because as a big fan/supporter of Travi$, the one thing that hits home is how KiD CuDi opened up to the world and his fans. I never met CuDi before nor ever been to one of his shows but if there wasn’t KiD CuDi, there wouldn’t be a Travi$ Scott and I’m sure Jacques Webster himself could vouch for that. Social media is literally changing by the minute and Complex has been such a highway for that transition and I, as a humble internet user am thankful for that. #YouGoodMan? I’ve been with visiting Hiphopdx since my freshman year of high school. I’m a senior in college now with a future in computer science. Without saying, this site has been in my rotation for my fix for hip hop news for awhile. By me getting this tickets to ComplexCon would help solidify my relationship with Hiphopdx (even though its pretty solid) and would be a great early graduation presents from y’all.

I’m from LA so a trip to LBC would be great for me. I work a lot of overtime at Providence Hospital and every Tuesday morning, I’m at the LA County Police Commission meetings with Black Lives Matter and numerous other community activists that want to end police brutality in our communities. I work out from 4:30am to 5:30 am as well, leaving me very little time for enjoyment.

Going to complexcon would be such an amazing experience. Being a senior in college without a plan with the fear of what to do next, I think complexcon would be really inspirational. As a hip hop and sneaker enthusiast throughout my 19 years of living, I have developed a love and passion for the culture as the two go hand and hand. In my hardest of times during my life, I have found that these two passions helped me get over the pain as I am surrounded by a loving community that understands my struggle. In particular, the album Man on the Moon: End of Day really has spoken to me and guided my dreams similar to the dreams Cudi had. Right now I am faced with the biggest decision I have ever had. As a business major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I have been contemplating changing my major to music in order to fully dive into a career in rap and producing in order to spread a positive message throughout the community. Although this is foreign territory for me and my family, I know that I need to follow my heart and dreams and pursue this career.
As a broke college student, I, unfortunately, cannot afford to pay to go to this event, but it would be my dream to see my idol Kid Cudi as I am forever grateful for helping me throughout my toughest times. Especially now, I can really identify with his struggles, but with the love and support of the community gathered in one place sharing the same passion, it really is a healing experience.
