Atlanta rapper Trouble (real name Mariel Orr) was shot and killed early Sunday morning (June 5) and details are slowly starting to emerge. According to CBS46, Rockdale County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Lake St. James apartment complex in the Conyers area after receiving reports of a shooting around 3:20 a.m. local time.
Officers discovered the 35-year-old victim on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have identified 33-year-old Jamichael Jones as the murder suspect and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. They believe Jones killed Trouble with a single shot to the chest when he found him at a girlfriend’s apartment.
“What we know and what I can tell you is that with Mr. Mariel Orr which is the victim was visiting a female friend at the complex and Mr. Jamichael Jones did know the female and it was a domestic situation,” Rockdale County Public Information Officer Jedidia Canty said. “I know there are a lot of people that are really upset right now about the situation.”
Trouble’s ex-girlfriend Alexis Skyy confirmed his death shortly after the news broke, writing on Twitter, “RIP @troubleDTE. I’m so sorry this happen to you Skoob. You didn’t deserve this. I’m praying for your kids and family.”
His label, Def Jam Recordings, also released a small statement on their Instagram account saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the children, loved ones, and fans of Trouble. A true voice for his city and an inspiration to the community he proudly represented. RIP Scoob.”

SAD man…. men you gotta be careful who you get involved with because some of these women ex’s can’t move on and what worst… you killed another man over a woman who still gonna sleep with other men while you are in jail. One thing I will say if they knew each other then that’s the problem.

A few of you all are stating that a man should not harm another behind a woman, and that is a true statement. Yet having said that the man or woman who feels hurt obviously cares for the person so they don’t want to harm them, but they want to harm the person that they view as the problem. It is human nature to do that though I’m not saying it is the right thing to do. Emotions are hard on us all, I prefer to deal in the realm of logic because it is just straight black and white whereas emotions can be very cloudy.
