Wale Visits A Local School, Held Birthday Weekend In Washington D.C.

As part of “School of Rock,” Wale and others, like Roscoe Dash, have teamed up to praise the importance of art, physical education and academic success in schools. Over the weekend, one that also saw Wale team up with the NBA’s Kevin Durant for the second annual Kevin Durant and Wale Birthday Weekend, the D.C. emcee visited Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy, a public charter school in Northeast. Wale and Roscoe Dash also spoke on a panel hosted by Maxine Waters. Pictures of the event can be found at Georgia Exclusive Access.  Previous visitors of this school include President Barack Obama.

This follows news that recently broke of Wale feuding with Kid Cudi after a war of words.

None of the above stopped Wale from enjoying his birthday celebration as he and Kevin Durant continued with their Birthday Weekend.

    1. We have to find a way to make this, and stories like it, front page news. The picture alone is worth it’s weight in gold. How often do we see a black male along side a black child for something that’s positive?
