Wale was a no-show for a promised concert in New York City this summer and now the promoters have slapped him with a lawsuit, TMZ reports.
The D.C. rapper is going to court after promoter Upfront and Personal Global claimed he skipped out on a show that he was billed as the headlining act. The company says it paid Wale two payments of $12,500 to fulfill the $25,000 contract that it set up with his team and it has a contract to prove it.
After Wale bailed, Upfront and Personal says that it reached out to him for a refund, but never got a response.
Wale was a busy man this summer as he became a father and continues to work on his SHINE album. He just appeared at ComplexCon for his West Coast fans and has a show scheduled in January in Maryland if those New York fans are still trying to see him perform.
