Waka Flocka took to Twitter on Wednesday (December 30) to put his record label Atlantic Records on blast for continuously pushing back the release of Flockavelli 2.
“I just wanna say FUCK my major label #AtlanticRecords,” the Atlanta rapper writes in a Tweet.
“Fucking selling dreams,” he continues.
Waka Flocka first expressed displeasure with his label in April when he tweeted that he wanted Atlantic Records to let him buy out his contract for holding back the release of Flockavelli 2.
The 1017 Bricksquad member called out the label again for the same thing in October detailing how he was treated when he got shot in 2010.
“The first thing the label asked after I got shot is — ‘can you go to the studio,'” he says. “From that day forward I knew my label didn’t care I’m just another dollar sign #GetChaMoneyYoungNigga.”
The rapper also voiced his frustrations on a remix to Meek Mill’s song, “R.I.C.O.” in August and in November he tweeted Atlantic Records’ phone number, asking fans to call them and demand the release of Flockavelli 2.
Waka Flocka’s tweets regarding Atlantic Records is as follows:

That is the biggest downfall of artists – they don’t understand how business works. These labels come in every day to make money off your music. Your a product. Of course they want you to work and make them money. There is a reason they are pushing back the release and it’s probably because their projections show that the album ain’t gonna sell crap and they are probably right. Instead of getting mad at your label for not holding your hand and taking you to dinner before selling your music, get off your ass and promote it and build the buzz and do the work to build the demand for the album. The bottom line is that if the label can make money off the album, they will put it out. So get yourself in a position where the album will sell.
Stop acting like a grown child.
Yall act like he got.no.hits. to this day they play his songs in European and UsA nightclubs. If your defending the label then theree seriously something wrong.with ur brain. Remember Lupe has the same problem.
Foh here nigga, u aint ever been able to rap
stop crying. the label aint gonna invest or spend the bread for a project to flop.. ya followers grew up a lil and moved on from ya music.. Fetty and future took ya spot…. fall back and sneak around the back and surprise us.
