Waka Flocka Flame Catches Heat From Chika For His Questions About Black-On-Black Crime

Waka Flocka Flame posted two questions to his Instagram Stories earlier this week which read, “How can we as a community beg the police to don’t shoot but we killing each other still? We gotta ask ourself how bad do we want true freedom?”

Essentially, he was suggesting the Black community needs to stop killing its own people first before they can expect respect from authorities, an undeniably controversial take. Naturally, his comments sparked a heated debate on Twitter and ultimately caught the attention of Warner Music Group artist Chika.

On Wednesday (September 2), the Industry Games rapper took it upon herself to check Waka and blatantly told him to keep his mouth shut.

“in simple terms, nobody else has been asked to stop killing each other if they don’t wanna be killed,” she wrote. “this is stupid and would only come from someone who doesn’t have the range to understand double standards. or umm.. racism?”

She added, “in simpler terms, shut the hell up, flocka.”

Chika took her sentiments to Instagram as well, writing, “everybody of every race commits violence against each other, it is not specific to our community. What IS specific to us is having these respectability politics used as a condition for us to receive simple human decency from people who swore to serve and protect.”

She added in the caption, “@wakaflocka sshh. not rn.

Of course, Waka Flocka has had inflammatory opinions on serious topics before. In March, as the COVID-19 pandemic was just beginning its wrath, he told the Real 92.3 LA he was immune to the virus and flatly stated it wasn’t even real.

Waka Flocka Flame Says He Always Knew He Was 'A Wack Rapper'

“It’s fake … Minorities can’t catch it,” he said. “Name one though. We all descended from the same persons. Now, did we catch it? It hit the people passing through our airport [Atlanta], it ain’t touch them soulful folks.”

Revisit his comments below. The coronavirus topics pops up around the 11:40-minute mark.

    1. Man, i like Waka Flocka even more now. But watch as the sheeple now try to put him in his place “shut up, just focus on hating whitey”.. sickening

    2. Minorities can indeed catch Covid-19. The darker your skin, the more melanin, which means you don’t absorb D3-vitamin as efficiently than those with less melanin, lighter skin. And that is detrimental to your immune system.. and that makes Covid-19 worse for non-whites. I guess god was racist when he created the darker skinned people with such flaws?

    3. Next: Waka getting cancelled on some #MeToo bullshit by some white looking woman with a last name that ends in -berg or -stein

    4. Someone shove a biscuit in this cow’s mouth. Waka is talking facts. But really, it’s not just about black on black crime. 93% of interracial violence is black on white.

      1. Shhhh!!! They don’t want to hear the truth …. just a community of outward pointing fingers … and her argument only holds water in a society in which white people aren’t being killed by the police as much as they are in this one … but white peoples loves are the ones that truly don’t matter apparently … excuses excuses

    5. But its funny how she says every race kills one another and accepts that but doesnt see how more blacks kill blacks than any other race but whines about police killing african americans in disproportinate volumes to other races but no police just kill everyone though and its true and they do kill african americans disproportinatly and part of it is due to the lack of value of the african american life in particular towards one another how easily they take one anothers that shit dont happen often in white communities you want people to treat you with fucking respect respect yourselfs and others will as well but you treat yourselfs like shit so will the rest of the world

      1. Straight facts!! It’s all a cash in for them, the media and those damn corrupt organizations. Top execs of various outlets. Killing people sells…. a complete slaughter house

      2. Police shoot many more unarmed white people than unarmed black people.
This despite black people committing about 50% of the violent crimes in USA.

    6. If only Black Lives Matter would march for Save the Children, or the black kids that get shot in gang violence battles on the streets of Chicago or South Central LA. What have these BLM frauds donated to since they became a cult? Lol not one dime has gone to help black communities, all they do is burn shit and loot. Waka is 100% right and the black community can’t move forward until they address their behavior first and start taking responsibility.

    7. Sorry Wacka got it wrong. So because black on black crime is high then that gives cops the right to kill us? Thats the narrative we continue to fall for.

      1. That’s not what he said at all. You need to go back and read . All he’s saying is why don’t we bring that same level of energy and disapproval whenever someone in our community kills another black person as we do when a cop kills one of us ? True, a cop takes an oath that an average black person in the community doesn’t , but a black life is unnecessarily lost nonetheless in both situations and the black community as a whole is set back in both situations .

    8. Chika appears to be thinking upside down. Waka’s comments were crystal clear. No need to begin add modifications to such a clear and truthful point of view.

    9. Waka is telling the truth here!!!! Stop promoting violence in these videos. If its fiction, there needs to be a disclaimer on it stating that it’s not real. Us black people made and make America cool but it tends to turn into competition and violence through music and the streets. Some listen and dont act but a lot listen and do act. Remember isnt this called the “Culture”. It makes us look bad, violent and a threat to not only our communities but to others as well. Man at the top gets money off of rappers getting killed. This is what keeps the cycle continuing. Not only rappers but to the kids that are following these trends

    10. I don’t know why this is such a controversial topic within the black community. Yes we do need to stop killing each other, stop the gangs, ignorance and drugs in our cities. It’s basic common sense. That doesn’t excuse police killings though

      1. All you have to do is read the few comments speaking out against what Waka said. Everyone scared of getting canceled, or being called an Uncle Tom. You have to be a part of the hive mind. A monolith as Joe Biden said. It ain’t cool to take responsibility. It’s only cool to be a victim, and to continue to play a part in the oppression olympics. Thought you knew!? You have to be baptized in the Woke Cult, and repeat their mantras.

      2. Doesnt mena every police killing is racially motivated either. The media and BLM just make you think that way so you can feel even more depressed. 99% of white folks arent racist at all, but if media convinces you they are, then now we have racial division and we ALL become easier to control. Just so happens we’re in a plandemic and the gov’t doesnt want uys working together against them, so they pit us against each other instead. The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.

    11. Wacka’s right too much black on black crime. Even our music is full of talkin bout killing black men. F
That doesn ‘t make police brutality right, but we need to be more aware of how we portray ourselves in media outlets.

    12. I just came to see all the white people and Tom’s in the comment section ? with all there made up stats, and armchair theories about communities they’ve never been in, or know nothing about. Wasn’t disappointed at all.

      1. You’re right. America is an irredeemably racist country. You should go live in one of the numerous black-majority countries where blacks have more freedoms, make more money, and live longer. Hey, do me a favor, post that list here for everyone’s benefit.

      2. Who the fuck needs stats?…we on a hiphop site right now, just listen to an album and you’ll hear about it all. To completely deny Waka’s point and pretend it’s an out of this world crazy take is embarrassing…well, enjoy being only 12% forever

    13. Too bad Waka is such a terrible rapper . Otherwise , I’d be bumping his shiz with the windows down after what he just said .

    14. 85% of crimes are committed by the same race….why nobody calling the killing in Wisconsin white on white crime white men commit 64% of crimes in America 28% of black men in jail for violent crimes

    15. Man he is 100% correct we need not to worry about other race worry about the blacks and what we do, black live matter yeah correct but to who? Check this if we protect our own, then may be this cop wouldn’t shoot because they know once they do we coming full force not half ass, like we doing right now

    16. The Irish.

Told to stop killing each other or the army was going to stay in Northern Ireland.

They stopped bombing each other and shooting up pubs so much and the British army pulled out.

Plenty of other examples too. Read a fucking book chika

    17. Youngsters need to go look up self destruction and west coast all stars “all in the same game ” The rappers from BOTH coasts saw that inner city violence and gang violence, largely black on black crime, was a threat to US so they all got together to speak on it. That was 1990. Its gotten worse but the sad part is, we so scared of the white man bringing it up so now we just say there’s no such thing as black on black crime and call anybody who says otherwise an uncle Tom.

1st off who cares what the white man got to say about it. For him its just a talking point. For me its my life and the lives of US.

AND GUESS WHAT? WE CAN ADDRESS BOTH ISSUES AT THE SAME TIME SMH
