Vince Staples is taking his Dark Times album on the road with his newly-announced Black In America tour.
Launching in October in Atlanta, the 13-date trek will hit New York City, Washington, D.C., Seattle and more before wrapping in his hometown of Los Angeles in November.

Released on May 24, Dark Times marks an important moment for Vince Staples as it’s his last album for Def Jam, the powerhouse label he’s called home for over a decade.
He recently spoke about the uncertainty of his plans going forward, telling Rolling Stone: “I haven’t really got to that part of the bridge yet. Music is music, and we’re in a new time as far as how these things are approached. I’m not rushing to go into any new contracts or anything like that.

“But, I was given an opportunity as a teenager by Def Jam and Universal, so I’m very appreciative of that. But as far as now, I’m not sure how that’ll end up happening.”
It’s a busy year for Vince, who also just announced a second season for his eponymous Netflix show.

Variety confirmed the news on Thursday (May 30), with Netflix following suit with an Instagram post shortly afterward.
“The Vince Staples Show is back!” Staples said in a statement. “The people have spoken and the most riveting, captivating, and polarizing show on Netflix is returning for season 2. Get ready for hijinks that only a mother can love. Thank you, Netflix!”
The series premiered in February with a short season of just five episodes. Vince himself even joked that there wasn’t even a budget for marketing, but luckily the show was a hit.
The Vince Staples Show was first announced in September 2022, with a press release revealing the series would be loosely based on the rapper’s life and set in Long Beach. Staples will be starring, and also executive producing alongside acclaimed producer and director Kenya Barris and his Khalabo Ink Society.

As he prepared for his own show, Vince Staples had ample time to get his acting chops ready with a role in the 2023 film White Men Can’t Jump and a recurring spot on Abbott Elementary.
