Uptown Smitty’s An Old Soul album is slated for a September 29 release date.
The producer is premiering the project’s cover art and tracklist exclusively on HipHopDX.
“I wanted this project to be something like DJ Shadow meets Pete Rock,” Uptown Smitty says of his vinyl-only release during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “I wanted it to be like DJ Shadow’s Endrotucing….. and to capture the essence of classic Soul, Hip Hop and Jazz with my production. These are my version of ‘Mood Beats.’”
