Unreleased Recordings From 2Pac, Nas, DJ Quik, Ice Cube Part Of Lawhouse Records’ Return

California producer Laylaw was one of the architects of the G-Funk sound. His work with Dr. Dre has appeared on releases for Ruthless Records, Death Row Records, and Aftermath Entertainment. Laylaw also served as advisor to Eazy E during his days with groundbreaking gangsta- rap group N.W.A. After that the producer created music with the late 2Pac, their association starting with the rapper’s sophomore album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.

Knowing all the connections Laylaw has made with historic members of the Hip Hop community it is unsurprising but, exciting nonetheless, that his vaults would be crammed with unreleased gems. Now, with his Lawhouse Records imprint, the producer plans to release some of those lost gems. First up is the triple disc, box-set Lawhouse Greatest Hitz.” That album will feature both released and unreleased music from Ice Cube, 2Pac, DJ Quik, E-40, Above The Law, Eazy-E, MC Ren, Nas, Flo-Rida, Pharcyde, Luniz, Michel’le, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, among others.

Laylaw is also planning on exposing some new talent to the world with Lawhouse Records. His most prominent signing is South Central, Los Angeles rapper Chuck Crazy, who recently released his first single, “L.A. Waves.”

      1. So if he would have released it years ago would he have not being trying to make money? I dont understand your argument. The reason that i would have waited is because “years ago” there was a new pac album out every year…now seems like a good time to release it.

    1. Wow, the legends can’t get at least 50 comments but all the unworthy drama get all the nothing . something must be in the water these days. Stories like this is more worthy of comments, attention and respect

    2. def getting this, 3 cds wow, laylaw is dope, Above the Law is one of my fav west coast groups easy. anything with unreleased original versions of TUPAC gets my purchase.

    3. I forgot to put E-40 on there as someone who would ruin the album, I know he had some albums that were considered classics in early 90’s but I’ve never like him and I think he’s annoying with that voice.

    4. damn this sounds like a classic in it’s own right. unreleased dj quik michelle ren pac pharcyde that’s my era..

    5. so i aint the only one that finds E40’s voice annoying as all fuck. Just can’t get into any of his albums.
in saying that still got respect for the nigga, just ain’t feelin’ his songs

    6. This is good news The Lawhouse Experience album is dope. Flo Rida? Maybe he got some gangsta ass record on this new project.

    7. Nas got some of the illest unreleased songs of all time. It makes you wonder why didn’t put more of the tracks on his albums. I swear, he could have 4 or 5 classics. Nas is one of the worst when it comes to picking the best tracks for your album, so the Lost Tapes 2 NEEDS to be the bonus disc on his next album after he promised it.

      1. Realistically, Nas already has 4 classics counting the lost tapes as an album [Plus Ill/Still/IWW]… but he does some of the nastiest unreleased shit out there and if he compiled the best of the best he would likely have at least 1-2 albums worth of classic material… speaking of classic nas is pretty much the definition of it… he was at the top of the game when he started and he will damn sure leave at the top of it 20+ yrs down the road… more consistent than Jay even [dont front you know J has been weak since kingdom come]… nas is judged harsher than any MC ever and at the end of the day people need to admit that no other artist could withstand the scrutiny that he does and still be regarded as the GOAT by many… and all you lames giving nas shit about Kelis/the label/being signed to Def Jam can straight choke a dick… stick to the music and Nas is absolutely undeniable…recognize the presence of greatness

    8. 2Pac is the greatest rapper ever. Pure EMOTION. Something one can never get from Nas, Biggie, Rakim or whoever. You need more than dope lyrics to be the greatest! When he raps, you feel him. Nuff said.

    9. 2Pac, Nas, DJ Quik, Ice Cube and many other great MC’s. Sounds like it should be dope, but as a couple others have said why Flo-Rida?? He’s not even on the same level as any of them….
