Tyrese has made it clear that he’s no longer interested in carrying on the beef with DJ Envy, claiming that he’d prefer to spread love rather than hate.

The actor and singer took to his Instagram Reels on Saturday (September 16) to clear the air between himself and The Breakfast Club host.

“I just wanna hop on here and show some love to Funk Flex,” he began. “You my brother, bro. Flex. It’s been the longest week ever. Flex, you’ve been killing my song out here in New York.”

He continued: “I told n-ggas I’m ready for all that smoke with Envy, but I’m throwing up my peace flag. I’m going to make the choice to take the higher road. I just want y’all to know, man. Like, I don’t give a fuck what nobody say. It’s been five years of them going at me on that show.”

This peace offering seems to mark the conclusion of the latest back-and-forth between Tyrese and DJ Envy, which began on September 7, when The Breakfast Club host confronted The Fast and Furious star for allegedly sending “disrespectful” texts to Envy’s wife.

“When we talk on these private chats that have nothing to do with the public, but who you were and how you speak and how you talk about the people next to you, I didn’t respect it,” Envy began.

“To the point where I blocked you on my chat because I didn’t want to see Tyrese as that. That wasn’t the man that was my brother.”

Tyrese copped to not “remembering anything” that he said during that time period as he was on a series of psych meds.

“When you get drunk, do you hold your boy to what he’s saying while he’s drunk?” the actor asked. “Do you hold anybody to what they’re doing knowing that this is their usual self?”

Envy responded by saying that he wanted to remember Tyrese for who he was before.

“I never had a conversation with you because I never wanted to see you like that,” he said. “The person who spoke to my wife during that time with texts, I didn’t like that. And I wanted to remember Tyrese as a brother that helped my relationship.

“Not the Tyrese that was going through it, so I took a step back. I didn’t know what you were going through and I tried to talk to you and I seen who you were. When I seen how you were talking this way, I said I’m gonna take a step back.”

After a bit more back and forth, with Tyrese refuting Envy’s claims, and Envy doubling down, Tyrese unloaded on Envy, claiming that no one “disrespects his wife more than you do.”
