Tyler, The Creator Asks Fans To Cooperate With Police

Tyler, the Creator was meant to perform with Flying Lotus at the Airliner, a Los Angeles venue, on October 9. The concert was reportedly sold out with close to 100 fans left without entry. The concert was eventually cancelled, according to spin.com.

Concert goers reportedly became unruly and were asked to leave the venue’s sidewalks by police.

Officers reportedly wore riot gear and asked for backup from the Sheriff’s Department that evening, as per CBS Los Angeles. Concert goers reportedly threw rocks and bottles at the police officials.

Several blocks were also reportedly closed due to the incident.

Tyler, the Creator tried to cooperate with police officers in order to have fans leave the venue. Tyler spoke with supporters about possibly performing again in the coming weeks so that more fans can attend his show.

A video of Tyler’s plea to the crowd was released by WorldStarVideo yesterday (October 14). In the video, Tyler is seen speaking to fans using a police car megaphone system.

“Everybody chill,” Tyler said to fans. “Listen, I’m sorry all you guys could not get in. I’ma figure this out, but you already know how Los Angeles cops are. They’re assholes, to be honest.”

A police officer then appears to momentarily stop Tyler from completing his statement.

“We know how they are,” Tyler continued. “So, if you guys cooperate, no one will get hurt. No one will get arrested. I just need everybody to disperse from the area because they’re already pissed off…If we do that shit, this helicopter and all this shit will get the fuck out of here. Alright? Thank you.”

NBC Los Angeles reported that fans left the scene after this took place. No arrests or injuries have been reported.

Footage of this can be seen below.

    1. HE handled it so well. Had to bad mouth the cops to get the respect from his fans. And i think thats what he told the cop too.

    2. headline is very misleading smh and i don’t even like tyler but it had me thinking something actually happened and he was asking ppl to “snitch” which i don’t think is a bad thing but definitely a very misleading headline
