Of the few valuable possessions iconic rapper Tupac Shakur owned at the time of his death in 1996, two automobiles, a Toyota Land Cruiser and a black Hummer H1 were top assets. The latter vehicle was owned and held by the family until 2003, when it was raffled through BET‘s “Picture Me Rollin'” sweepstakes.
In an usual twist of fate, the raffle winner later sold the pristine vehicle with 14,000 miles back to the family of the late Shakur. The car was driven over 10,000 miles since its 2003 sale. Now forced to liquidate assets, the Shakur family is selling the car again for the reported market price of $200,000.
The sale, which is rumored to go to online auction, will be conducted by Candyman 187 and Yaasmyn Fula. Candyman is a rapper who worked with Tupac and Digital Underground leader Shock G towards the end of Shakur‘s life under the name Havenotz. Fula is the mother of slain Outlawz member Kadafi. The two have represented Havenotz Entertainment, a company that Tupac, with Candyman and Kadafi started in 1995, which is conducting the sale.
Potential buyers are asked to contact Candyman. The rapper’s Myspace is www.myspace.com/candyman187.
