The Weeknd appears to have a twisted sense of humor as he made a porn joke about one of Travis Scott’sUtopia album covers.

Scott took to Instagram on Wednesday (July 26) to unveil two of the five covers for his upcoming project ahead of its release on Friday (July 28).

One featured an upside down of the Cactus Jack rapper’s blacked-out face, while the other was an abstract-looking mash-up of three images — one of them showing four shirtless Black men stood behind a white blonde-haired woman wearing a dress.

It was that latter photo that prompted The Weeknd to jump into Travis’ comments section and put a porn-themed spin on his album title.

“#BLACKEDTOPIA,” he wrote, referring to the porn site Blacked.

On the music side, Utopia is led by the single “K-POP,” which features The Weeknd and Bad Bunny. The all-star song arrived last Friday (July 21) before receiving a visual makeover, directed by Scott himself, a few days later.

Before that, Travis dropped two tracks in November 2021: “Escape Plan,” which he had debuted live at Rolling Loud Miami that summer, and “Mafia,” which features uncredited backing vocals from J. Cole. However, it’s unclear if either of these will appear on the album.

While further details remain scarce, La Flame shed some light on the creative process behind Utopia in a recent interview with PIN-UP magazine.

“I made most of my new album on an MPC,” he said. “I got new ones; I got some old ones. My favorite is the 2000XL. It produces a very distinctive sound that makes it feel alive.”

He also shared his definition of “utopia,” saying: “Utopia is something that people feel is so far-fetched and out of reach, some perfect state of mind. But you create it yourself. There are people who achieve utopia every day. They may not be the richest people with the dopest cribs, but it’s a utopia wherever they are, and that’s the most you can have.”

“With every album I live in these worlds in my mind — I’m trying to show people experiences where utopian things can exist, and you can enjoy yourself and have a good time,” he added. “They can create energy that spews out magical things — new cures, new buildings, new avenues for people to move forward. People need to see that utopia is real.”

Cactus Jack signee Sheck Wes also ramped up the excitement recently by claiming that Utopia will blow Scott’s previous album, 2018’s blockbuster Astroworld, out of the water.

“Bro, I ain’t gonna lie, it’s so fire,” Sheck said during an interview with streamer Adin Ross. “One thing about my homie Travis, when it come to that music, man, I ain’t gon’ lie, he got that shit [whistles].”

He continued: “Astroworld is a great album, but Utopia is going to the next level, man. I ain’t even front. That’s all I can say [whistles].”
