Travis McCoy Splits With Katy Perry, Uses Main Source Lyrics

    Known for his passion for both Rap and Rock, Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes [click to read] demonstrated his Hip Hop side in an oddly personal moment yesterday.

    First reported by Celebuzz.com, McCoy and Pop sensation girlfriend Katy Perry called it quits after a two-year relationship Friday.

    The couple had brought in the new year in Mexico, with plenty of reported festivities. Just one week after the New York Daily News‘ gossip section swirled with engagement rumors, the couple called it quits.

    Although no statements have yet to be released by either party to the media, anonymous sources close to the couple confirmed rumors.

    McCoy, however, did come close. On his blog, the rapper and singer quoted Large Professor‘s [click to read] lyrics from the famed Hip Hop break-up song “Looking At The Front Door” [click to read].

    The 1991 song, from the seminal album, Breaking Atoms, features the classic lyrics, which McCoy quoted to tell fans and media the root of the split.
