Longtime industry veteran – and HipHopDX blog contributor [click here] Torae is releasing his debut album Daily Conversation on Fat Beats Records January 29.
After acclaim in the late ’90s from submitting a well-received demo to Bad Boy Records, Torae ended up on compilations as well as opening shows on the famed Cash Money and Ruff Ryders tour nearly a decade ago. In the years since, the emcee has released a series of twelve-inch singles in the tradition of classic Hip Hop while holding mainstream relationships with folks like Cam’ron and The Diplomats.
Finally getting his chance, Torae has aligned with underground Hip Hop kingpin Fat Beats Records to release a debut album featuring help from likes of Tash (of the Alkaholiks), Stimuli, Skyzoo, Chaundon as well as production from Marco Polo, Khrysis, 9th Wonder, Black Milk and the legendary DJ Premier.
