Top Reasons HHDX Says The Lexus RC F Is The Ultimate Driving Experience

For those looking to live on the edge and drive a vehicle for thrills rather than simply running errands and taking children to soccer games, the Lexus RC F coupe is not only a visual treat but also a joy for the truly passionate. Key influencer HipHopDX editor in chief Justin Hunte has given the RC F an early spin and he speaks with much praise for the coupe, saying “From mic to plug, test driving the Lexus RC F was exhilarating! Drifting around corners at 80 MPH and going 0 to 100 in six seconds flat, then 130 MPH tight to the ground with no rattling — few things make the heart pump faster, but what impresses me most is the vehicle itself. Driving the Lexus RC F is like starring in your favorite race car video game where you have the comforts of your couch, except you’re actually traveling 150 mph!”

With more than 450 horsepower, a 5.0-liter V8 engine and a new eight speed automatic gearbox, the rush of fast motion is exhilarating while drivers are able to maintain comfortable steering control. Though it falls under the umbrella of high performance, the car is meant to appeal to a wide variety of people according to RC F chief engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi who says “I’ve built the RC F to be enjoyed by all enthusiasts – no matter what their level of expertise.”

    Performance!

Based on the RC coupe, the F performance model was revealed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit as a vehicle that maximizes both power and precision. A first for Lexus, the RC F’s performance engine uses the Atkinson cycle at cruising speeds for lower gas consumption (19 city and 28 highway) and switches to the Otto cycle at higher rpm (revolutions per minute) for more impressive performance,. Continuing to explain the car’s general usefulness, Yaguchi says “There’s a misconception that racing cars are hard to drive. They’re easy in the right hands because they’ve been purpose-built for the skill level of their drivers. It’s the same with the RC F.”  The RC F has TVD (Torque Vectoring Differential) which provides three different operational modes, standard, slalom, and track. Standard allows for balance and stability while driving. Slalom focuses on the steering response. Track keeps the vehicle stable, especially while applying more throttle during cornering. Smooth driving for all and as Lexus says “Performance is in your control.”

    Wrapped In Safety

Lexus has taken extra measures to ensure their drivers safety, afterall it is Lexus’ priority. Advance blind spot monitor alerts the driver when a vehicle is a little too close to bare as well as when a vehicle is speeding in the rear. Pre-collision system, is a detection operation that not only warns the driver of a possible frontal collision but aids in applying the brake assist to help reduce impact. Rain assist activates the windshield wipers as soon as rain starts, assuring that the driver has visibility at all times. These are only a few of the Lexus RC F’s safety features that make it appealing.

The Lexus RC F’s Flashy Exterior & Stylish Interior Design

Adding new features to the body of the RC coupe, the Lexus RC F features its own version of the Lexus signature spindle grille which takes over the front of the vehicle. The grille has a subtle F-mesh pattern on the lower half and a distinct front hood which raises the vehicle’s peak and creates a powerful side view. The design is also similar to the Lexus LFA supercar in terms of essential air cooling and aerodynamics. The RC F’s hood air vent combined with front cooling ducts make sure to maintain the engine’s temperature along with overall vehicle stability. Also much like the LFA, an active rear spoiler is incorporated into the trunk lid to provide down force at speeds of more than 50 mph. Internally The Lexus RC F is full of components that connect with drivers from the steering wheel, to highly developed combination meters, ornamentation and pedals. Designed for exceptional holding performance, the all new high end back seats have an integrated foaming technique which creates a seat with extra support due to trim material that stays fixed.

    1. Another day, another press release. Congrats to HHDX/Cheri Media for expanding your revenue streams by publishing obviously ‘sponsored’ content which has nothing to do with hiphop or even music.

    2. Seriously, cars? Try to keep up with HipHop music and do not try to fit cars into this site. You’re already a very mediocre site when it comes to the quality of the reviews and articles.

    3. I never took seriously the whole “HHDX is a terrible site” talk because if I am uninterested in an article I just won’t read it. I’m not going to click on it just to complain like a loser but this really is terrible lol, I hate to sound like a nerd but you guys really have lost some cred with me, not that it matters I guess

    4. This is extremely wack. Hosting commercial content is fine as it’s unreasonable to expect for you to operate this site for free, but your commercial material needs to be better than this. First, don’t disguise what Lexus wrote as a post authored by Justin Hunte. Second, market things that are actually relevant to hip-hop culture, I.e. Nas’s daughter’s company, DJ Khaled’s headphones, someone’s clothing line, etc. Please respect your readers.

    5. Not sure why everyone’s bitching about this article. Don’t rappers like to talk about cars a lot in their songs? I say this article has a lot to do with hip hop.

      1. If they were going to actually review a car from a hip hop perspective, it would be acceptable, but this is just a paid advertisement.

    6. I wish someone would run over the entire DX “Staff” with the Lexus RC F. Hip Hop would be so much better!

      1. you’re giving this website way too much credit. this website does not affect hip-hop like that in any way shape or form.

    7. If you look at the Alexa Ranking for HipHopDX you will see it has been steadily declining… it’s only going to get worse with Paid Advertisements like this that don’t even make it relative to the targeted demographic. Curious as to whether there’s a plan to dismantle and sell off the site… based off of the lack of quality in writing and the hit or miss subject matter it’s only a matter of time.

Who’d be down to start something new? Something a bit more scholarly?
Would people be willing to read it? Is there an audience for such a site?

      1. Ahh man, one of the reasons I used to come to DX was because of their semi insightful editorials. Now, its pretty much HipHopDMZ. Appreciate the information on their sinking ratings. I suggest anyone upset with this article to give this site a break for a while. Trust me, they will gladly cater to your preferences in exchange for the advertisement dollars you bring in.

    8. You guys should at least have this noted as “paid advertisement”, this is ridiculous. No one actually reviewing this car would go into detail over the godamn safety measurements.

    9. Yea this is just comes off as a paid advertisement, not a review. I’ve never driven this car.. but I have driven Lexus’ in the past. They’re great “cool out” cars… but when it comes to speed and gripping the road, I prefer BMWs.

I’ve never driven a Mecerdes for any real length of time so not sure how they stack up.

    10. HipHop DX bring that ass here boi!

The writers on this site STRUGGLE to even produce a respectful article on the culture of Hip-Hop. In the past week alone I’ve seen the misspelling of basic words, one was the word Natural, you spelled the word NATURAL wrong! So how on God’s green Earth do you expect any one to believe you have the credentials to give a review on automobiles. Review my ass this is a fucking advertisement! Is this what the site is going to consist of in 2015? Giving “reviews” for products you’ve never used…? What are you going to review next? Tampons, restaurants? Roach Spray? You didn’t even TRY to tie this review into anything HipHop related. Can you imagine if ESPN just out of the blue started posting cooking recipes articles. LMAO No one at DX has driven this car, this review has about as much credibility as the DX writers have intellect.

      Fawk You Mean

    11. HAHA glad to see others are recognizing the foolery going on at DX. WTF does this have to do with the culture of Hip-Hop? Go make your Christmas quotas somewhere else. HipHopDX is no different than Iggy and the corporate structures that ruin culture.

    12. Are you fucking kidding me? If you can’t figure out how to monetize this site without turning it into shit, you’re an idiot. Seriously. You should be ashamed of yourself.

    13. Top Reasons HHDX Says The Lexus RC F Is The Ultimate Driving Experience:
      1. HHDX got paid to say it
      2. HHDX is a bunch of capitalist prostitutes
      3. HHDX doesn’t have any honor or integrity

    14. LOL @ this shit. Tell me who at Lexus thought the rough and tumble niggas that frequent this site could afford this shit any damn way? Somebody go get Joe from the neighborhood used Pontiac dealership, cause that’s all yall got.

    15. This site really has no shame…..I’ve watched this site deteriorate for some time now….
The poor spelling…..the lack of grammar…..poor writting….creating stories out of nothing……misrepresenting facts…..but this really takes the cake…..I mean this so blatant I really wonder if it’s April 1st……just ridiculous……how does the staff love this car???? CAUSE THEY GET PAID TO…..so much for journalistic integrity….so the next real question is what site should we get our hip hop news from? Throw your suggestions below:

      1. You might as well go to TMZ……even they’re more credible and more relatable to hip hop than this site at this point

      2. Any sites better…..the funny thing is they will delete this post…..they’ve deleted numerous of mine complaining about the sites current condition…..instead of fixing it they try to cover it up…..so pathetic

    16. 1. What does this have to do with Hip Hop?
      2. Why not AT LEAST post this as a “Sponsored article” like most news sites do when they have to post bullshit advertisement articles?
      3. You realize that this just brings the site further down right? It’s like we are witnessing a sinking ship.
