Toosii started his #LoveCycleChallenge during the Thanksgiving season, buying groceries for unsuspecting families at a local grocery store and sharing the video on Instagram to encourage his peers to do the same. Now he’s extended the challenge through the Christmas season, and this time linked up with the water-hustling teens Meek Mill was accused of being cheap with in Atlanta.
In a video shared on Wednesday (December 16), the South Coast Music Group artist takes the teens to a local mall and lets them cop what they want, ending the short clip with “Spread Love” written on the screen.
“This shit be bigger than the music,” he wrote in the caption. “shit about having a platform and looking out for people like the young niggas who look up to me now l spread love that’s a #LoveCycle #lovecyclechallenge.”
The group of teens sell waters to cars in the streets of ATL, and Meek was previously criticized after sharing a video of himself giving them one $20 bill to split amongst themselves out of the window of his $400,000 car. While some said it was a great gesture because the group essentially sold one bottle of water for $20, others shamed the Philadelphia-bred rapper for being cheap when he knows what it’s like to come from nothing and try to hustle for more.
Meek brushed off the controversy, responding with a tweet that read, “They appreciated it they just hustling kids.”
Meek just donated$2M to kids in his city
Thats a lie
The kids are probably not financially educated as most of us that came up that way we’re not so what you just explained as a win they definitely did not know so of course that’s why they look at it like that now if y’all wanna do something stop buying chains and shit and put a financial education community center in the hood and teach them something instead of being they big homie be they mentor period!!!
So how much do you have to put up for the financial education center!!!???? Talk the talk, please walk the walk!!!!
I cant stand meek mill, but in this particular case I feel he was being bullied by stupid ass people online. He paid $20 for one bottle of water out of a 32 pack that cost 4 bucks. The kids made their money back × 5 with one bottle and they still got 31 more bottles to sell. And after they flip those, each kid should be able to buy his own 32 pack and sell it. So essentially each kid made about $28 if you do the math. Thats not a bad deal if they have good work ethic. Social media wants them to get a handout.
Exactly, all his critics saw was that Meek was in an expensive ride (and because of who he is=worth), therefore he should’ve given out more mula. Folks always want to spend other folks money.
Meek Mill a idiot
Dude just got 2 kids and bought them stuff, why show that, if you want to do it do it, the kids will talk about it.
Do anything for clout.
Respect to his dude! I’ve never listened to his music, but I will give a listen now.
FOH man wtf is this he in the news now unbelievable and somebody gonna buy his record making him money so this means he really didn’t lose money and his bitchass look like a good guy which he isn’t these devils man Meek Mill a proper-ass j-boy/ where the Christian rappers at?!?!?!
Soooo…nobody is gonna comment on dude’s wack ass name?
Ok bump his name. His name could be shit. Fuck it he out here helping. Stop hating clown you mad he didn’t take your broke ass!!!
Well said!!!
The way I see it is like this: #1-Meek should’ve known dam well that there would be blow back of him giving kids $20. I mean every successful black man should know that $20 ain’t gonna win the hearts & minds of our youth no matter what positive things their doing. #2-No matter what Toosii motives were, those young men actually believes that there are good people out there, yes you can get your blessings, & when they get older, they’ll help someone just as they was helped. I don’t & might never will listen to Toosii’s music, but dammit he earned a thousand new “cool points” in my book!!!!
