Tony Yayo Slams JAY-Z Rape Allegations As 'Extortion'

Tony Yayo has slammed the anonymous lawsuit filed against JAY-Z which accuses him of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Speaking to TMZ, the G-Unit rapper as well as Uncle Murda were asked about the lawsuit which accused JAY-Z and Diddy of drugging and raping an underage girl at a MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000.

Yayo said: “For somebody to extort you, send you a letter, and then you gotta send your lawyers, sounds like extortion to me.”

Uncle Murda also made claims of his own, commenting: “I think Diddy paid somebody to say that shit about Jay to get the heat off himself ’cause Diddy looking bad out here. I think he trying to get the heat on Jay.”

JAY-Z also called the claims against him “blackmail” in a rare public statement he released on social media.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” the rap legend wrote.

“These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

The statement also mentioned the impact that the lawsuit would have on Jay’s notoriously private family life: “My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”

JAY-Z has also filed suit against the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee.

The suit alleges Buzbee is “shamelessly attempting to extort exorbitant sums from him” with the threat of litigation containing “entirely fabricated and malicious allegations of sexual assault.”

Buzbee denied the claims and said the suit was an attempt to “silence” him.

For his part, Diddy previously denied the claims in the initial lawsuit, with his attorney saying: “Mr Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defences, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone – adult or minor, man or woman.”
