With his recent work on projects from both Jay Z and crooner Justin Timberlake, Virginia producer Timbaland plans on continuing his music streak with a new Michael Jackson project. The beatsmith shared the news during a short, video snippet with Revolt TV.
Timbaland revealed that he spoke to record executive L.A. Reid in regards to the project and promised “something big.” The Virginia Beach artist also gave fans a heads up on the title of the project’s first single.
“To even go bigger would be two kings working together. L.A. Reid came to me, like to my house. I got something big I want to do. I can tell you the first single’s gonna be the song ‘Chicago,’ but I’m gonna set it up right. So, now it’s my time, watch me go,” said Tim.
On top of his recent work with Justin Timberlake on both The 20/20 Experience and The 20/20 Experience 2 Of 2, Timbaland has worked with a number of artists in the R&B realm. In fact, his skills as a producer were put on the map thanks to his work with the late Aaliyah and Ginuwine.
In the time since Timbaland debuted his production talents on Ginuwine’s Ginuwine…The Bachelor in 1996, he’s gone on to work with Jay Z, Nelly Furtado, Ludacris, and countless other artists.
A release date for Timbaland’s Michael Jackson project, as well as a title for the album is currently unknown.

Please, no more modern day remixes of Michael’s songs. Just give us the awesome songs he recorded, as he recorded them. Don’t mix dummies into the songs.
exactly just release it the way it is with it’s intended producer but apparently there’s 100 unreleased tracks so hopefully they don’t remix all of it modern day remixes that is
Hopefully Tim will do a good job with it. Checkout thegrandreport, they got some good hip hop videos on there
THIS NIGGA COMPLAIN WHEN DRAKE WAS DOING AALIYAH PROJECT BUT THIS NIGGA CAN DO A MJ PROJECT LIKE HE WAS CLOSE TO THE DUDE LOL I BET MJ MET THIS DUDE LIKE ONCE
amen to that…
People always trying to get money from the dead.
I like timb as a producer, I think this project could have good potential. He dont always make the best music all the time, but when he make hits or singles usually they’re good
This could work out. I was trying to think of others that would do the same job as Quincy Jones and it’s not many. Teddy Riley would have also been a good choice. He’s worked with MJ before along the side with Quincy. Overall, Timbo is the best contender.
chicago got recorded first time @1985 for the BAD album.
it got reworked for 2001 invincible album with Rodney jerkins.
there are alot of outtakes of the 2001 invincible, hopefully we will hear them.
also some 2004-2009 songs are considered…
there are alot of unreleased songs (some sources say around 100 tracks).
the release is this year.
already confirmed.
ITS KKK WHERE COMING TO YOUR TOWNS
mic jackin on that autotune, like whaaaaa
Timbo, Neptunes, Darkchild, 40, StarGate, Babyface, R Kelly, Austin, Teddy Riley & Quincy Jones would be dope

SOUNDS LIKE A TERRIBLE IDEA

I always thought that if Michael Jackson did an album with the Neptunes when he was still alive, he could recapture some of that Off The Wall/Thriller magic again. Unfortunately that will never happen and now Timbo will fucking ruin this shit.
This coming from the guy who shits on everyone who makes posthumous records with Aaliyah.
CO FUCKIN SIGN THANK YOU!
he has the right to complain about drake producing aaliyahs posthumous albums.
1. drake isnt that good anyway and doesnt fit aaliyah. he produces EVERYONE and sounds just too weak and mediocre. too boring for aaliyah. drake = total rubbish
2. timbaland is better than him anyway in any aspect. he actually knows how to produce a record. drake does everytime the same with no clue what he wants to be.
3. MICHAEL JACKSON had a lot of producers and he even called timbaland 2008 for a new album.
aaliyah had only timbaland as main producer, not several. (with a few small exceptions)
Another dead artist getting their music remixed and pimped by the industry.
he can complain about drake, cause timbaland is a much better producer and knows how to produce a record.
drake has no clue about producing and is just mediocre.

my roomate’s sister makes $79 an hour on the laptop. She has been fired for 5 months but last month her income was $16165 just working on the laptop for a few hours. look at here… http://www.Cafe44.com
how can u put MMLP before encore and you havnt even heard it yet? but i mean encore was so shitty that it wont take mucht o beat that so i guess so
All politics aside, Timbaland is probably the producer most suited to the job. I wouldnt have any of the clowns responsible for Invincible onwards involved
