Tierra Whack has let it be known who she thinks ultimately sits on the throne in Hip Hop, giving the title to Eminem.

The G.O.A.T. debate is a subjective one that’s been going on for decades, but the Philly native felt it was necessary to remind her followers over the weekend that Slim Shady still holds the title belt as the best to ever do it.

On Sunday (January 15), she tweeted: “Eminem still the best rapper ever whether you can relate to him or not.”

Check out Tierra Whack’s tweet below:

Whack felt the vitriol of many followers who clapped back with their own picks for the best rapper ever while others flocked to the Detroit legend’s defense.

“Nicki Minaj is the greatest rapper , you know that furthermore you rap way better than Eminem,” one fan replied while another opted to use 2Pac as their selection for the G.O.A.T.

Tierra Whack then followed up by referring to Eminem as “light skin,” which further angered her followers as they brought up how Martin Luther King Jr. Day was only hours away at that point.

A fan replied: “Now this is where we gotta put a halt to the shenanigans!”

While the G.O.A.T. debate will continue to rage on, Eminem is still breaking records over two decades into his decorated career. Em and Nate Dogg’s “Till I Collapse” anthem earned Spotify’s most-streamed non-single ever last month, surpassing 1.5 billion streams.

The track lives on Em’s 2002 album The Eminem Show, which also features the hits “Cleanin’ Out My Closet,” “Without Me” and “Sing For the Moment.” “Till I Collapse” was never given an official music video or worked on radio.

In 2012 – a decade after its release and one year after Nate Dogg’s passing – the song was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry of America (RIAA). And just before the song’s official 20th birthday earlier this year, it was certified a whopping 8x platinum.

Meanwhile, it recently came to light that Eminem turned down an $8million payday to perform at last year’s World Cup.

During an interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, 50 Cent explained how his performance at last year’s award-winning Super Bowl Halftime Show with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige led to him and Em being offered a lot of money to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

“Because of the Super Bowl, I got an inquiry about the World Cup,” 50 Cent told Big Boy. “They had a budget of $9million for it. So they was gonna give — I would have took one, Big. Then the other eight would have been for Em.”

Once the offer came in, 50 called Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg to discuss it but was ultimately turned down — although it’s not completely clear whether news of the offer made its way to Em directly. “I called and spoke to Paul and everybody around him,” Fif explained. “They was like, ‘He’s not gonna do it.’”
