The Top 10 Hip Hop Singles Of The Week: Ja Rule, Ma$e & Omelly

This week saw another new release from Ja Rule as the rapper continues to drop off fresh material. Elsewhere, Ma$e took aim at Hip Hop’s new generation while going in over Tupac and Dr. Dre’s “California Love” and lastly, Meek Mill affiliate Omelly took shots at AR-AB in light of AB’s recent diss aimed at Mill.

Ja Rule Releases “New York Giant”

Ever since his decade old rivalry with 50 Cent was reignited, Ja Rule has been on a releasing spree, letting loose a string of new material. This week, the Murder Inc. frontman continued this trend by dropping off “New York Giant.” At present, there’s no indication as to whether or not all of Ja’s new releases will culminate in a project.

Ma$e Blasts Hip Hop’s New Generation On “WhenNYWasNY”

On his new release, Ma$e takes on Tupac and Dr. Dre’s “California Love” to let loose his thoughts on Hip Hop’s new generation of artists.

Omelly Disses AR-AB Over Drake’s “Back To Back Freestyle”

In an awkwardly confusing turn of events, Omelly—whose signed to Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers imprint—took shots at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania rapper AR-AB while freestyling over Drake’s Meek Mill diss track, “Back To Back Freestyle.” This comes after AB took aim at Mill over the same instrumental.
