The Roots Unveil New Track On Late Night

As The Roots continue their time as the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the crew will gear up for the release of a new album. Using their side gig’s benefits, the group will also unveil a new track on the show.

The track is expected to be “How I Got Over,” the first single off How I Got Over, which is also the album title. The album has been delayed for some time, as it was meant to be released this summer.

The Roots will announce that WE are pushing back our 11th project How I Got Over (Def Jam/Universal) until [October]. It shall be worth the wait,” drummer ?uestlove recently wrote on his Twitter page.

Fans can catch the new track “How I Got Over” tonight on Jimmy Fallon’s show. However, after this week is over, The Roots will go away from the set to travel with Rock the Bells.

Those who may not make it to Rock the Bells can also catch The Roots at the Highline Ballroom, where they will be hosting weekly jam sessions all summer.

As ?uest noted, the album How I Got Over is slated to hit store shelves October 20.
