That slogan just got a little more literal with the impending release of “True Notes Vol.1.” The Roots and their family of okayplayers (Common, Talib Kweli, Dilated Peoples, D’Angelo, Erykah Badu to name a few), will now showcase some of the best up and coming talent hip-hop has to offer with this Okayplayer Presents album.
This marks the first release on the newly formed label, which will be distributed by Decon. The album is out on May 18th and the tracklisting is below:
