The Orchard, the digital distribution home to artists such as Pete Rock [click to read] and Del The Funky Homosapien [click to read] has now acquired some content from the King of Crunk.
After troubled relations with TVT Records in the final years of the label, Lil Jon has released a “pact” with one of the former independent’s buyers. The deal will include the exclusive re-release of Jon‘s previous work, with The Eastside Boyz, encompassing the platinum release Crunk Juice. In his part of the pact, Lil Jon will provide new content for the re-releases.
“I walked into The Orchard and came away with the sweet taste of
freedom!” said Lil Jon in a statement. “Others talk, The Orchard does. I expect to do
great things with them, and look forward to my future.”
The deal will also allow Lil Jon to provide A&R services and production support to other Orchard talents. The two parties are also in discussion for possible collaboration for future work, including the highly-anticipated next album from the superstar entertainer and product spokesman.
