It looks like Hip Hop trio The L.O.X. are hard at work in the studio completing various projects, both solo albums and their joint album.
The L.O.X.’s Styles P spoke with MTV’s Mixtape Daily about the many projects The L.O.X. are working on this summer.
“We working on The L.O.X. right now and all the solos at once — Sheek [Louch] solo, my solo, [Jadakiss’] solo, mixtapes,” Styles P explained. “That’s our plan for the summer right now. Since we all in the lab, we going in. Now that we all there at the same time, it brings better energy and better thoughts.”
“I was in a Louch session the other day, and somebody was there for beats for him; he got two beats for me,” Styles P went on to explain. “It wasn’t nothing there for him in the beat session, but he heard two beats he knew I would like and go in on. It makes for a better energy and better fit. We just working and making our legacy grow. L.O.X. forever.”
Styles P also revealed that although well-known producers will be featured on The L.O.X.’s upcoming album they aren’t against putting on new producers for the album
“It’s well-known producers that’s definitely going to be out there,” said Styles P. “But we also giving a shot to anybody with mean beats that got that L.O.X. sound that we can appreciate and the world can appreciate.”
The L.O.X.’ album will likely be released in 2011 although a mixtape from Sheek Louch, aptly titled Donnie Def Jam, will be released on July 20, 2010.

I’m a fan but i’m kinda fed up with these guys, that L.O.X. album is more delayed then fucking Detox. I don’t understand the hold up. They should be on their 5th lox album at least! They keep talking about it as if its coming out but never fucking does.

I agree with most in here. Fuck the solo albums for a minute and put out the group joint. There has to be more to it as to why these guys have only dropped two group albums in fourteen years. I know a lot of industry shit gets tangled in the mix, but still. These guys probably grew apart and just aren’t tight as they used to be. Another Lox album is an urban legend almost as much as Detox.
