Nike Releases Kanye West’s Air Yeezy II Red Octobers In Surprise Release
Nike released its Nike Air Yeezy II shoes, a model of sneakers Kanye West has discussed for the past year, as a surprise Sunday (February 9).
The release was announced in a Nike Twitter post. “The Nike Air Yeezy 2 is now available,” Nike’s verified Twitter account said. Eleven minutes after the initial announcement, Nike’s account updated its followers about the shoe’s availability. “The Nike Air Yeezy 2 has sold out on http://Nike.com.”

Drake Says Macklemore’s Grammy Text Message To Kendrick Lamar Was “Wack” & Disengenuous
Soon after Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won four Grammy Awards this year, Macklemore posted a text message that he sent Kendrick Lamar as a snapshot captured on Instagram. “You got robbed,” Macklemore said at the time. “I wanted you to win. You should have. It’s weird and sucks that I robbed you.”
Drake recently discussed the text message Macklemore sent Lamar, saying “that shit was wack as fuck.”
“I was like, ‘You won. Why are you posting your text message? Just chill. Take your W, and if you feel you didn’t deserve it, go get better. Make better music,'” Drake says in an interview with Rolling Stone. “It felt cheap. It didn’t feel genuine. Why do that? Why feel guilt? You think those guys would pay homage to you if they won?”

Dr. Dre Suiting Death Row Records For More Than $3 Million
Dr. Dre is suing Death Row Records for more than $3 million in unpaid royalties, according to Radar Online.
The producer says that he is owed $1,200,386.57 in unpaid artist-producer royalties, $1,179,913 from digital sales and $676,444.44 for unpaid mechanical royalties. The digital sales amount is based on a judge’s suggestion after Dr. Dre lost a 2010 trademark infringement suit, the story says.
The Beats by Dre executive also said that Death Row did not honor a bonus that would bump his royalty rate to 20 percent from 18 percent.
