The Game Details Taking Drake To Compton For “100” Video Shoot

The Game says that he called Drake for a specific type of record for his forthcoming The Documentary 2 album, which is due in stores October 9.

“All his biggest records like in the beginning were geared towards women,” The Game says during an interview with HotNewHipHop. “So, whenever you think Drake, you’re like, ‘Yo let me go to Drake and get a radio single real quick.’ And then when I went to Drake, he was like, ‘Yo, man, I don’t wanna give you that. I want to do some Hip Hop, you know something cool, something real. So we got the ‘100’ beat and we just went in, man.”

The Game felt strongly enough about The Documentary 2 track to make a video for it. He and Drake went to The Game’s hometown of Compton, California to film the clip.

“All day, Drake just kept saying, ‘Man, I can’t believe I’m on Black Wall Street, man. I can’t believe I’m in Compton, man. This is dope,’” The Game says. “He was like, ‘I was a kid in Toronto [and I] just wanted to like be there and now I’m here,’ so I think he had more fun than anybody else, man. But the hood really embraced him. We got in. We got out and everything was dope, man.”

    1. LOL @ Game saying the hood embraced Drake when they were shooting the “100” video in Compton. No them stick up kids let Drizzy know if he wants to be safe riding through any hood; he’ll have to pay that Hood Tax consecutively Ha

      1. fuck drake! if he ain’t stealing others verses he has quinten write them for him. the only reason he was able to spend 1 minute in Compton is because he was with game. he would get rolled so fucking fast it would be funny. fuck off and die fake drake.

    2. I knew it Drake’s first time in Compton. He’s never been in the hood. There’s nothing street about that Canadian geek.

      1. Goku, Drake has claimed he has lost friends to street violence in his songs, when he grew up as a child star with his rich white family in Canada. And he is always talking about taking out his enemies.

    3. Hold up……….wasnt Drake in YG’s “I’m a real 1” video? That was shot in Compton too.

      1. Yeah but its not the same as going to Black Wall Street. Drake and I are only a year apart in age so I know as a Hip Hop fan he was a big fan of Game in 05-06 and there was a mystique to Game’s/Big Face’s Black Wall Street part of Compton.

      2. yeah I know what u mean but he did say “I cant believe im in compton” when he was clearly with YG and the TTP boys in that video…..jus sayin.

    4. Aubrey (aka Drake) was so nervous looking in that video. Growing up as a child star with Drake’s rich white family in Toronto, is a far cry from growing up in Compton.

    5. lol anybody else watching the 100 video picture all the Piru niggaz in a circle around drake raping him as tears roll down his face and hes screaming in pain, Game just standing there watching in slomo rubbing his hands together grinning and laughing, all as the music keeps playing.

      1. @Goku………Its still pretty funny. Are u one of these people who thinks they gonna turn gay if read some shit like this?

    6. The area isn’t called Black Wall Street it’s West Side Cedar Block Piru. Game’s former crew was Black Wall Street and a lot of them came from this neighborhood. Brazil and Wilmington is the block they had the studio and stuff. There are a few more blocks within Cedar Block Piru. Brazil, Kemp, Poplar, Cedar, Aranbe.
