During an interview with Hot 97 during BET Weekend, The Game spoke with the station’s Nessa about Dr. Dre’s role on The Game’s upcoming album, The Documentary 2.
“Dre is on the album,” the rapper says. “Dre played a big part in the album. So did Swizz Beatz.”
Timbaland, DJ Premier, Scott Storch, Kanye West and Mike WiLL Made-It are among the other producers The Game says are working on The Documentary 2.
The Compton, California rapper also says that you can’t believe everything you read about Scott Storch’s bankruptcy.
“You know Scott Storch ain’t broke,” he says. “They said Suge [Knight] was broke but he still driving a Bugatti, so it is what it is.
“Sometimes people file for bankruptcy because they don’t want to pay people back,” The Game adds. “It is what it is.”
The Game says The Documentary 2 will be released sometime in August.
“It’s an amazing album,” he says. “I’m already basically done with it.”

Game’s last shot to stay relevant. Take his last 3 solo albums (so that Wolf BS doesn’t count), remove the filler tracks and put together the remaining (dope) ones to get of what Documentary 2 should be. That Year of the Wolf project is the blueprint of how NOT to make an LP, as it was basically a walking cliche of what Game’s been on for years: name-dropping rap 24/7 with supposed-to-be-hot artists over beats that’s trendy at the time. Hopefully he’ll deliver this time, but I’m afraid it’s all hype on top of hype for a mediocre at best album. Again.
