The Diplomats Reunite For 10-Year Anniversary Of “Diplomatic Immunity”

On Monday night (March 25), The Diplomats reunited for a special evening in New York, New York. The crew was celebrating Diplomatic Immunity’s 10th anniversary. Of course Cam’ron, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones were all in attendance to perform along with other Dipset associates but they were also joined by special guests.

Lloyd Banks was one of the special guests in attendance. While he made his way to the stage, he wasn’t the only guest to perform. Waka Flocka Flame also hit the stage to an enthusiastic response from fans.

Will this mean the group is ready to reunite on an album? Santana has hinted towards a reunion project but said it has to live up to their work on Diplomatic Immunity

“We’ve been talking about it, we want to do it right,” Juelz said earlier this month, in an interview with Hip Hop Since 1987. “The first Diplomatic Immunity album was a double-CD classic. So if we give the people something, we got to give them something close to that.”

Diplomatic Immunity was released on March 25, 2003. HipHopDX’s original review of the album was 3/5 but the album became a fan favorite for the group’s core fan base. Immunity also went on to become certified gold by the RIAA. The group had a different reunion show at last year’s Paid Dues.

    1. jim jones always made me mad. even just looking at his face. he’s like the epitome of everything that sucks in hip-hop, and i put him in the same category as wayne and chief keef but he just had his shine a few years sooner

      1. I disagree. These days Jones sucks but “On My Way To Church” was a super dope album when it dropped.

    2. Was a huge Dipset fan back in the day. Nothing that has been released recently by any of Dipset has got me excited for any kind of reunion. And who are all 75 of them cats on stage?

    3. best groups/crews/teams ever in hip hop

    5. I am coo with a new album, i just dont want the 2-3 mixtapes that will lead to that album. I do feel their time has passed, but who knows what they can do.

    6. the only reason why DIPSET was so hot back in the day was bcus they were on ROCAFELLA. as soon as they left in 2005-06 they fell off especially on the promotion tip.

every time u see the diplomats they are performing them same old ass songs from back in the day. Wheres the new music? Whatever happen to that studio session wit DRE? Where are those songs at?

the truth is cam, juelz and jim will never be able to make another hit record with out the help of a true boss like Jay Z.

    8. well yea dip set are cops loll they wear dot head costumes to scare ppl lollllll wtfff haaaaa banggg

    9. didnt dipset get back together in late 2009 for a reunion ?

enough of this reunion bullshit put out some new music its been damn near 5 years since they got back together and they only made 1 song/ Salute.

MMG/ YMCMB/ GOOD MUSIC are real groups that make real music, DIPSET is just a bunch of salty broke ass niggas that dont even fucc wit each other.

i bet a million $ somebody from dipset is going to diss Vado because he a bout to out shine all them washed up ass niggas

hell rell the only nigga i fucks wit out the whole set, he need to holla at Khaled just like Vado did so he can become known GLOBAL.

    10. Man the Dips were the shit hey. It it was looking like New york was going to be untouchable there for a while with D-Block ,G Unit and the Dips all in the mix. But instead of uniting they all beefed with each other. Such a shame.

I think people forget the sub groups that the Dips had, which were equally as talented as the main guys in the spotlight.
