Tha Dogg Pound’s Next Album To Be Executive Produced By Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg

“It’s Daz and Kurupt getting that DPGC together. Big Snoop is overseeing it, Dre’s overseeing,” Kurupt told AllHipHop.com at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. “We just got off a road trip for beats with Dr. Dre, who is still working on Detox.”
While most of Tha Dogg Pound’s albums were independently released, Daz said Alumni will be a major release backed by both Dr. Dre and SNOOP’S respective machines.
According to Daz, Alumni will feature a combination of production between himself and Dr. Dre.

“We put the beats together, submit it to him [Dr. Dre] to let him know what we are working with and he comes and adds his flavor to it.

    It’s natural.”

The last time Dr. Dre had an executive production credit on a Dogg Pound album, he, Daz Dilinger, and Kurupt were all on Death Row Records.

Now, along with Snoop Dogg, the crew is back together in the studio for Alumni, DPG’s next release.

“It’s Daz and Kurupt getting that DPGC together. Big Snoop is overseeing it, Dre’s overseeing,” said Kurupt in an interview with AllHipHop.com.

“We just got off a road trip for beats with Dr. Dre, who is still working on Detox.”

Kurupt added that Alumni would be a major label release.

Said Daz of the project: “We put the beats together, submit it to him [Dr. Dre] to let him know what we are working with and he comes and adds his flavor to it. It’s natural.”

    1. That’s a great look! But I won’t necessarily hold my breath for another “Dogg Food” classic. All the other DPG albums after were wiggidy wack!

    2. i rather see quik do production than dre. or at least give quik some tracks because The Book Of David is def one of the better hip hop productions this year. DJ Quik is making great music still. unlike Dre who owes the world 1 Detox album and +1000 promised songs.

    3. this better be a good album…cuz we were promised a DETOX album and instead we get Dogg Pound…not sayin they arent good but DETOX 12 years of waiting cmon DRE

    4. lol dre and snoop cant save your weak ass. it aint 1995 anymore.

by the way the good old doc only works with slim and kendrick and then is taking a break!

    5. Now this is exciting news like the old days!!! Finally!! a crew meant to work together again. 2012 is gonna be the shit!! big changes big music!!! you cant see me!!!

    6. damn str8! cant wait to copp it already.the pound still doin like back in the dayz..i got ever cd they dropped. they stay on tha grind. the drop cdz every few months.that DPG muzic.Raw and Uncut…G sh!t

    7. Why would Dr.Dre do this? He is taking a break from Music, i saw that here on this Page a few Days ago. DAZ has to much of a EGO to let Dre “overlook” his Album 😉

    8. Get the HRSMN to work with Dre and other major producers too Kurupt…you have all the connections to make HRSMN the gr8test group in the history of hip hop

    9. That’s cool but what about DETOX!!! At least tell us if it’s coming out in the next 5 years cuz I don’t wanna wait another decade.
