Terrace Martin recently recovered a nearly 20-year-old hard drive that has unreleased collabs with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Beastie Boys, Quincy Jones and more – and he’s seemingly ready to release it.
Taking to X on Tuesday (January 21), the accomplished musician revealed the news and asked fans if they’d like to hear the recordings.

“I just recently got a hard drive recovered from 17 years ago,” he began. “It’s so many ideas and demos from some of my favorite artist I have worked with. it’s interesting to hear where i was at musically 17 years ago along side with friends like James Fauntleroy, Kendrick Lamar, Beastie Boys, Quincy Jones & so many more.
“I can tell by the texture of the music that I was completely confident yet completely uncomfortable . Would you like to hear any of this stuff?”

A longtime collaborator and friend of Kendrick Lamar, Terrace Martin issued a warning to LA-based members of Drake’s OVO crew last year at the height of K.Dot and Drizzy’s beef.
“Yall in trouble,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “To my OVO folks living in LA . Your summer just got hotter . Stay home with air on or move back to the 6 [dog on leash emoji] . With love Terrace .”
The taunt arrived shortly after “Not Like Us” arrived – which ended up being the nail in the coffin in the ongoing beef as the track took off and became arguably the song of 2024.
Terrace has contributed to the majority of Kendrick’s albums, producing songs such as “Loyalty” from DAMN., five songs on To Pimp a Butterfly including “King Kunta,” and “m.A.A.d city” from good kid, m.A.A.d city.
