Tee Grizzley’s Aunt/Manager Killed In Shooting

Jobina “JB” Brown, the manager and aunt of Tee Grizzley, was shot and killed in Detroit on Tuesday night (August 20). Comments about her death began surfacing Wednesday (August 21) on social media before her passing was confirmed by TMZ.

According to law enforcement sources, a shooter opened fire on Grizzley’s Cadillac Escalade while the vehicle was traveling around Detroit. The gunman allegedly approached on foot and shot Brown, who was sitting in the back seat, in her left side.

Grizzley was reportedly riding in the passenger seat and got out of the vehicle as the shooter approached. The driver said the attacker fired three or four shots and noted that Brown screamed before the gunfire began.

Brown was rushed to a local hospital but died from her wounds. She was 41 years old.

Police don’t know if Grizzley was the intended target of the attack. He and the driver were unharmed.

This story is developing. HipHopDX has reached out to 300 Entertainment for comment.

DX sends our condolences to Grizzley and all of Brown’s family and friends.

    1. isnt this the guy mocking the deaths of fallen chiraq guys when hes not from there or connected to that. didnt an innocent working family man bystander get killed in Miami over this guys beef with another rapper?

    2. Damn it boy. As fans we all consume this shit likes it nothing to the point that we loose site that these people are really out there living that life. And unfortunately sometimes the good have to suffer for the bad. I don’t know dude past that one track he dropped. Maybe is Aunt was out there too, maybe not. People have to change before the world does…..

    3. Damn. For sure it was a cop. The way all these rappers bitch about the police and racism. All of these murdered rappers, all killed by the police and white men. LoL. BLM? No one takes a knee for all the black young men murdering other black young men. Pathetic hypocrisy.

    4. This is sad news. My heart and condolences go out to the fam. We need to be better, people. Th ignorance and hate is too strong in this genre. I’m going to hug my mother tighter today…on the real.

    5. No one takes a knee for the black on black murders. There are more of those a year than mass shootings and cop shootings combined. I guess it doesn’t fit some victim narrative. Meanwhile young black men, and blavk families, continue to suffer.
