Tay-K Pleads For ‘Second Chance At Adulthood’ Amid 55-Year Murder Sentence

Tay-K has asked for a “second chance at adulthood” while serving a 55-year prison bid for murder, claiming race was a factor behind his lengthy sentence.

The “Race” rapper shared several tweets from behind bars on Thursday (January 5) speaking out against his decades-long imprisonment. The 22-year-old argued that he should have been tried as a juvenile instead of an adult and claimed if he was white his punishment wouldn’t have been as severe.

Tay pointed to one of his co-defendants, a white girl who was also 16 at the time, who he claimed was given 10 years probation and has since been released from prison.

“I really just need 1 chance @ adulthood,” he wrote. “I bet if I was a lil white kid they wouldn’t have gave me no 55 years for a crime I was alleged to play the most insignificant role in when I was 16….they woulda rightfully argued that my mind wasn’t fully developed and gave me rehabilitation and a 2nd (1st) chance at adulthood.”

He added: “one of my codefendants was a white girl who was 16 jus like me…they didn’t certify her as an adult but they certified me n pimp as adults, pimp got 30, I got 55, she ended up getting 10 years of probation without no deal…that girl @ home rn.”

Tay-K (real name Taymor Travon McIntyre) was found guilty of murder in July 2019 for his role in the 2016 Texas home invasion that killed 21-year-old Ethan Walker.

He was sentenced to 55 years for the murder charge, 30 years for aggravated robbery and given two additional 13-year prison sentences on two other counts of aggravated robbery. The sentences are being served concurrently.

After his initial arrest, the teen rapper cut off his ankle monitor, sent out a tweet that read: “fuck dis house arrest shit fuck 12 they gn hav 2 catch me on hood” and went on the run.

It was during this period that he released “The Race,” catapulting him to notoriety and No. 44 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song, which contains lyrics like: “Pop a n-gga then I go out my way,” was used as evidence in his trial.

Tay also allegedly committed a number of other violent crimes while evading the law, including shooting and killing a 23-year-old man during a robbery attempt in San Antonio, Texas and assaulting and robbing a 65-year-old man in Arlington, Texas.

He was eventually captured by U.S. Marshals in Elizabeth, New Jersey in June 2017. He was later indicted for capital murder over the San Antonio killing, for which he is currently awaiting trial.

Tay-K previously spoke out about his legal situation in December 2021 when he clamored for new legal counsel on social media. “I need a new appeal lawyer,” he tweeted to his 160,000-plus followers at the time.

    1. Your race didn’t have anything to do with it stupid motherfucker. You murdered more than one person ignorant ass. 55 years is a blessing for a piece of shit like you. You deserve way worse

      1. Nah you’re mad that your boyfriend is in jail for the rest of his miserable life. Fuck that little cunt. Y’all defend these pieces of shit but wouldn’t if the victim was someone you cared about. Hes gonna rot in jail and there’s nothing you little fans can do

    2. Black guys like this allow woman to do crimes n get away w it.. protect all woman and the queennnnnns including they’re criminals to. When u simps stop putting these evil woman on pedestals and require them to face law like men then they’ll get equal reprocussions

      1. U sound like a fucking moron just like that idiot ranting. He killed several people, that little white girl didn’t. Don’t worry u will be treated like a little white chick in prison, but u ain’t nothing but rubbish bitch

    3. Went on a race recorded it profited off of itt, not to mention did various more violent crimes along the way. he ll be out in 25 years cause age and ability to afford a lawyer. Had been poor hed be doing life no parole.

    4. “It’s racist I go to prison for a long tome for murdering multiple people!”. Stfu dude. If it were up to me, we’d be executing murderers. Obviously I support self defense, but that isn’t murder. Stand your ground os a great law that should be federal law. I knew not to kill living things by the time I was 4 probably. Probably before that actually. I grew up using firearms and whatnot, learning how to use rifles and such. This guy grew up learning how to kill humans. He should never be on our streets again. You take someone’s life who wasn’t attacking you unprovoked? Then you don’t deserve to have your own life. White people go to prison for many decades for murder all the time, even at a young age. Dude who “swatted” a guy when he was 17, and dude was killed by swat team, was sentenced to 75 years, and he didn’t pull the trigger. I will however admit that WOMEN do get perreferncial treatment in our court system. Blame that on leftists. They claim women ar oppressed when more than 60% of scientists or astronauts are males, but you’ll never hear one of them complain that 97% of workplace deaths are of men, or than 95% of garbage pickups are done by men, or oil rig workers, and so on. They’ll complain they aren’t at least half of this or that, but they’ll never complain that men do the hardest and most dangerous jobs that keep our lives easy.

      1. Stand Your Ground is a flawed law, as the George Zimmerman case pointed out. IF you follow a complete stranger, then intentionally engage and start trouble with said stranger, and said stranger ends up getting the best of you in a fight… you shouldn’t be able to shoot said stranger and claim self defense. The rest of your rant makes you sound like an incel.

      2. You should be able to claim self defense if you’re in fear for your life. Zimmerman is a racist that thought dude was going to kill him. It’s how the law works.

      3. See you got it wrong, see what you do is when the guy follows and starts stuff with you u gotta shoot him first. Then claim stand your ground. JK, but not…

      4. That isn’t how stand your ground works idiot. You’re bringing up miscarriages of justice. That’s like saying “murder isn’t illegal because look at thr OJ Simpson case!”. Strand your ground doesn’t allow you to instigated violence, then shoot someone and say “self defense!”. Because self defense doesn’t occur if you are the on instigating violence, but enacting the violence physically first.

    5. At 16 I made a lot of mistakes. Smoked too much weed. Drank underage.
Didn’t focus enough on my education. Was disrespectful to my parents. I needed to grow the fuck up. But…… at 16 your brain is developed enough to know the murdering people is bad. Get the fuck out of here w/ that bullshit.

    6. His white girl friend didn’t kill anyone and cooperated against him of course he knows all of this because he is a criminal. He had the LEO’s chasing him across the country while posting on social media and dropping tracks about killing people. Dude was over 18 when he commuted the murders. You can blame whitey or whoever you want. The blame probably lies in his parents. A dad who he never met and a mom with addiction issues etc. the parenting thing affects all races and demographics. That part of this is sad, his decision making is all on him. He decided to kill. He also isn’t taking accountability for what he did, and most likely would do it again. Oh well. See you when you’re 80.

    7. These young MFs think they’re invincible. They never respect anyone or anything, except money and violence. But at some point in life, someone or something is going to humble you and teach you respect for life. In some cases, it comes in the form of a cell mate putting you in a dress and lipstick. He can take solace in the fact that he’s still breathing, which is more than his victim(s) we’re afforded. Life is long kids. Don’t blow your load too early.
