Atlanta, Georgia Rap superstar T.I. has been sentenced to 11 months in prison for his September parole violation involving multiple drug offenses during a traffic stop with wife, Tomeka “Tiny” Harris. According to TMZ.com, a group calling themselves “Citizens of the State of Atlanta, Georgia” [sic] has sent the court a petition trying to send the Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records emcee to drug rehabilitation instead of prison.
T.I.’s counsel has reportedly been made aware of the letter, but has no plans of using it in an appeal.
In other news, T.I.’s seventh album, King Uncaged has moved to a December 7 release date, according to Amazon.com. Many believe, however, that the album, said to feature production by DJ Toomp, Swizz Beatz and others, will not see release until 2011. Atlantic Records has yet to send a formal press release on the project since the rapper’s September arrest. Despite that, T.I.’s longtime artist Young Dro recently confirmed that T.I. did film between six and eight music videos to the album prior to his sentencing.

Dude made his bed, and now it’s time for him to sleep in it – it’s called accountability. T.I. = Troubled Individual.
I agree. This lobbying will go on deaf ears.
I like the Troubled Individual comment but considering everything he has done i might as well jsut call him T.I. = The Idiot
should’ve focused more on trying to keep your dumbass out of jail.
yo what about his wife shouldn’t she be doing time also? how come i never hear anything about her?
i know shit is classic. i always wish i had tits and a ass when i deal wit pigs. it seems the females always come out a little better off. (unless its a bitch cop lol) but yeah i guess hear we shld just be happy for the kids. they definitely need and deserve aparent around. even if if she did get busted we cant judge, theres always a context in every situation. maybe she learned somethin seein tip get locked back in, learned to slow down or somethin. hopefully, possibly not. at least them kids get a christmas this year

once again, what makes TI one who needs to be in prison for an extra 11 months, and Lindsay Lohan, who also violated her parole, failing a narcotics drug test, is one who needs sympathy and rehab and not prison???
neither of them deserve sympathy
Lohan didn’t try to buy an arsenal of illegal automatic weapons, so there’s a huge difference in terms of how a judge would interpret their punishments.
and she wasnt in possession of an illegal substance.
she just failed a drug test
