Clifford Harris, aka T.I., aka the leader of the Pimp Squad Clickaka, CEO of Grand Hustle has had a demanding schedule. In addition to prepping a new film, a powerful tour (in the Georgia Power Tour) and a new album, he’s also got a new nightclub.
T.I. opened Crucial Nightclub Monday night near his hometown of Bankhead, Georgia. According to various sources, T.I. used his own construction company (New Hope) on the nightspot and plans to have many enjoy the ambiance of the club.
“It’s going to be a real nice place where you can come and hang and party,” he told MTV.
The Georgia Power Tour featuring Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and T.I. himself kicks off soon. T.I’s DJ, Drama recently told MTV that fans can’t help but have love for a Jeezy and T.I. combination.
“That’s what everybody wants to see — them onstage together. A tour of this caliber means so much because both of them dudes is on top of their game,” he told MTV.
In other T.I. news, Tip was able to aid the public and divulge some information about his next solo offering.
“The album, from one song to the next, is an explanation of why I call myself the king since everybody wants to ask, ‘What makes him the king?'” T.I. told MTV. “For one, before me there was none. Before I created the title, there was no such thing as the King of the South. It didn’t exist. What makes me [the king]? Because I created the title.”
Later, he spoke about what he plans on doing differently with this next project. “We’ve had our hits and misses. ‘Bring Em Out,’ great idea. ‘U Don’t Know Me,’ stupendous idea. ‘ASAP,’ we could have [released] ‘Get Loose’ [instead],” he explained. “If I would have done ‘Get Loose,’ [with] me and Nelly — especially since we were already on tour together — I would have been at 2 million right now. These are the things I mark down so next album I’mma catch that. So there ain’t gonna be no excuses.”
As for his films, he is currently in the process of filming an untitled project with Chris Robinson. The comedy/drama’s cast includes Big Boi, Bone Crusher and Jazze Phae. It is set to be released in 2006.
