Symba has boldly proclaimed that the Golden State Warriors will only need five games to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals. However, the Lakers took a 2-1 lead in that series after beating the Warriors by 30 points on Saturday (May 6).

Symba, who is a die-hard Warriors fan, was in attendance for the game and was seated on the hardwood floor. With a confident aura, the emerging rap star took to his Instagram stories to put his stamp of approval on the reigning NBA champions to finish off the Lakers in dominant fashion to advance in the NBA playoffs.

“I’m here to announce the retirement of my rap career and the beginning of my basketball career. I’m officially signed as a Golden State Warrior,” he said at a fake press conference before hitting the court. “You ever seen Like Mike? Welcome to Like Symba.”

To get fans ready for the event, NBC Sports teamed up with the Dubs, Symba and fellow Bay Area son Mistah F.A.B. for a video hyping up the new season. The video montage contained clips from the Warriors 2021-2022 remarkable championship run.

“They said the run was over, that this team was washed, that the dynasty by The Bay had come to an end, I’m not sure what else they’ve been saying.” Symba said before fellow Bay Area native Mistah F.A.B chimed in and added: “I mean it’s awfully hard to hear with all this champagne and confetti. The Larry is back where it belongs. Warriors! Champs once again.”
